Active Escape — Attraction in North Devon

Family Stand up paddle board for 12, various ages from 6-45. This was without doubt the hi-light of our holiday this year. After the tears and tantrums of squeezing ourselves into full length wetsuits we set off with instructors Ben and Harry. I would challenge anyone to find two nicer guys! They dealt with nerves and trepidation from children and adults alike. We paddle boarded, jumped off rocks and enjoyed a little challenge to unlock a treasure box to enjoy smores on the a beach cove. They even had us making human pyramids on the boards..... Something I thought I'd never hear myself say. I'm very glad I stepped outside my comfort zone of the tombola at the village fete and booked this. Kids say we HAVE to do it next year, even offering to pay with their own money?! Active Escapes were the perfect way to end our 3 day residential in North Devon. Communication with Dan and the team before the day was fantastic... there are ALOT of forms and questions on school trips... and responses were always fast, taking the stress out of organising! The day itself was amazing. We had 3 large paddleboards and went round the beautiful Ilfracombe coast, stopping off at some amazing coasteering and jump points. Our instructors were incredible. Knowledgeable and engaging, our students loved every second and couldn't stop talking about the day. We will definitely be booking...

WOW!!!! What a place worth a trip for the venue alone. If however you add to that the well equipped and superbly staffed centre then it’s only going to be a recipe for fun. All the family loved it!! We were given a great briefing with all the most important points covered...by no means was it here’s the paddle board there’s the sea good luck. All questions were answered thoroughly and when one of our party was taking a little longer to grasp the basics, staff were on hand to give the gentle and considered advice to get things moving forwards.
