Title: A Symphony of Sensations at The Lime Kiln Cafe!
From the moment I stepped into The Lime Kiln Cafe, I was swept into a world that was a veritable feast for the senses. A world where service is more than just a concept, it's a philosophy, a way of life. You're not just another customer here, but a treasured guest, welcomed with warm smiles that can outshine even the most radiant sunrise.
The staff at the Lime Kiln Cafe, they are not mere servers, they are artisans of hospitality, each gesture reflecting their unwavering dedication to making your visit a memorable one. Their service is impeccable, a masterclass in grace and efficiency that leaves you feeling treasured and taken care of.
As your eyes wander across the café, they're greeted by the visual spectacle that is the view of the harbour. It's a breathtaking tableau, constantly evolving with the ebb and flow of the tide, painting a thousand pictures that words could never do justice to. And standing guard over this spectacle, like a sentinel of art, is Verity by Damien Hurst, a sight that adds a layer of mystique and allure to the view.
But oh, let's not forget the star of the show - the food! The bread at the Lime Kiln Cafe is nothing short of a revelation. Each bite, a symphony of flavours, the crust a perfect balance of crisp and chewy, the inside soft, airy, and rich. You can taste the love and attention that has gone into baking it in every morsel.
And the chips! Oh, the chips! Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, seasoned to perfection. They're not just chips, they are a celebration of the humble potato, a testament to the magic that can be created from simplicity.
Every corner of the cafe speaks of cleanliness, an attribute that can't be praised enough in these times. The Lime Kiln Cafe is more than a place, it's an experience. An experience that leaves you richer, fuller, and looking forward to the next visit. You'll come for the food and stay for the ambiance, but you'll return for the memories it helps you create. A true gem in every...
Read moreThe workers here were extremely rude and undercooked my chicken 4 times!!! Only eat here if you love being talked down to and eating salmonella inspired dishes, it’s a shame as the building is alright, just a shame there awful staff and food prep brings it down, I’m thinking on going to the department of food health and safety but I’m not sure yet!
to the owner who responded, I DID go to your restaurant and that DID happen to me, if YOUR staff did not report it that is on them, I might have over exaggerated saying 4 times it was sent back but it was definitely more than once I had undercooked chicken, I am seriously disappointed and the fact you came off so hostile shows you have no business ethics, If I were in your shoes (which I'm glad I'm not) I would seriously look at your staff and there food prep/attuited, thought I see where it is coming from now.
Furthermore to the owners response to my response, it is not due to the incident that occurred with the undercooked chicken (which was undercooked it was pink and raw, the server and other wait staff confirmed it at the time) it was your stinking attitude to the matter, I don't know why you think my choice in dish matters whether it was the chicken burger or not, your staff sent me undercooked chicken, they confirmed it, they didn't report it to you, and the fact you would make such a fuss over my overexaggerating of of my undercooked chicken, which was undercooked 3 times about, shows you are not competent at your job, instead of turning inwards finding out who is keeping genuine health and safety concerns from you, you wildly lash out at the customer like some mad man, I have not and hope not to experience any sort of rudeness like this again in any sort of formal / informal dining...
Read moreWe went for a drink early Sunday evening. The young woman on duty was not particularly friendly when we arrived - no 'hello' or 'are you just having drinks?' just looked at us, we said we just wanted drinks, she thrust a menu at us and said she would be out to take our order. We sat down and waited. There were two other tables with customers, one was served a snack while we were out there ( even at this point the server did not acknowledge us, we were at the next table, or ask if we were ready to order). We waited for some time with no service forthcoming decided to leave the empty bar and seek better service elsewhere,(which we found at another establishment near the harbour, and an excellent bottle of rose supplied by st Austell brewery I believe, top notch). We wouldn't have minded ordering at the bar, but it is clearly a table service place. As we left, the female server was standing at the bar waiting for the barman to make drinks for the other table and another guy was sweeping the floor. It definitely felt like they didn't want customers after 5pm on a Sunday. This is not about being newly opened, this is just about poor hospitality. The servers may have had a busy day , have been tired and want to finish their shift, but as a customer I don't expect to feel that my custom is not wanted. That is not good hospitality. It is a shame, we are local and we're looking forward to going here regularly, but it probably won't be our first choice now. Willing to give it another go, but definitely not on a...
