We arrived in Lynton Devon Monday morning and while we was waiting for the shops to open we found this little gem of a store. When me and Tara walked in it instantly took us back to our childhood as we looked around the items for sale. We decided to take a look around the massive museum of classic toys for only £2 each what a bargain. So many wonderful toys from our childhood highly recommended taking a look around this wonderful store and museum

The Lynton toy and museum shop is brilliant, the museum is very interesting, it makes you go back in time to your childhood and the toys that you would have played when you were a child. It is 2 pounds to get in to the museum which is reasonable price. The shop is lovely for children and hearing children choosing a toy, it's a lovely sound to hear.

Friendly owner, detailed displays with a brief history of the toy. A walk back through time showing a lot of the action figures, especially, linked to movies and the tv shows (who knew Bonanza had action figures?). Only £2 for adults and £1 for under-16s. I was happy to pay that.

This place is amazing. If you grew up in the eighties and pored over the Argos catalogue every Christmas, dreaming of owning all those action figures, this place should definitely be on your UK pilgrimage trail. It's full of all the figures and vehicles you really really wanted but could never afford. Some you remember (Star Wars, He-Man, Real Ghostbusters) and a lot you have just forgotten about (but immediately come flooding back). I had to be dragged out in the end...I cannot recommend this enough to anyone who gave up even seeing all that cool stuff you always wanted. sigh Snake Mountain, Castle Grayskull and Hordac's Fright Zone all in one place...a blue snaggletooth...and so many more. AND the owners are both lovely! (they had to be to put up with me waxing lyrical about...

Loved our little visit to the Toy Museum in Lynton. Brought back so many memories. What a job the chap has, keeping everyone's memories alive from our childhood. I could have spent hours opening cabinets and playing with Starwars, lego and so many other items. Reese was so thrilled too, there is a shop at the entrance to the museum selling both new and 2nd toys. So so cheap, grab a bargain from your past for sentimental reasons or as I did for my daughter to play with now. Loved it. Great price, 2 floors of memories. Just pop in and support this little family run shop/museum, you won't be disappointed. Thanks again for the trip...

Set slightly off the trading centre towards one end of the main road of Lynton is this museum.

Spread over the ground floor and cellar on display are toys and games from the 1950's onwards. Some items are set up but most of the games are stacked in their closed boxes. A small number of second hand items on sale in the shop which is before entry to the museum itself.

The owner is pleasant and knowledgeable who has created a labour of love.

A real journey down Memory Lane for a wide age range. Well worth seeking out for people of a...
