Visited for the first time today with my 4 year old. I've been to alot of indoor play areas over the years and have to say for the price this is a really decent place. One of the best indoor play places, is the Riverside Hub in Northamptonshire, however for 1 child and 2 adults you're looking at over £30 for just entry.
This is by far one of the cheapest indoor play places locally. We visited at 4:10 with a 2 hour slot and was surprised how busy it was. The fish tank is nice surprise that greets you. Theres an area for 0-4 year old which is fun and then a big area for other ages.
There also a small area to play indoor football, but when we visited it had been over taken by older boys (probably 12+ age), and they were rough housing and fighting each other all over the court. I also did see them bullying smaller kids who did venture inside that particular playing area. So I told my child not to bother going inside. I also witnessed more older kids fighting each other the bouncy castle. Even though there was a sign saying that you had to be a metre or under to play on it. These kids were massive.
Visited the cafe and bought some drinks. I had a coffee which wasn't the nicest tasting, I am no coffee conoseur but it tasted burnt. However I did find the prices on drinks reasonable. Place was clean and there was plenty of staff. When we left my child said goodbye and thanked the staff behind the counter however he was ignored by the 2 lady's as they were too busy having a conversation which I thought was a little rude.
Honestly for the price it's a decent place to kill a few hours. If you have visited alot of these places and you won't find anything new and different. But I would absolutely avoid this place at weekends....
Read moreI'm really upset to how a situation was handled..... my 10month old neice was playing in the ball pit when an 9 year old boy came aggressively in my sister them asked him really nicely to be careful as there was babies in there to witch he didn't listen and led to him kicking her in the head so my sister then said you need to be careful. 10minutes later a lady who said was this boys auntie came over to my sister at our table very aggressively in front of my child and also my 2 nephew and my niece who then was shouting at my sister because her nephew was crying because my sister had told him to be careful after kicking my 10 month old niece in the head. This lady carried on shouting aggressively at my young sister witch sorry never even came out of her month so I stepped in and told her to remove her self away from our table as her aggressive behaviour wasn't exceptedable in from of any child as she then continued to be aggressive towards my sister whilst holding my neice I then asked her another 3 times to then I was ganged up on by another 3 people who was with her and I guess were family members. I then rushed over to the manager and request they got removed from the building as there behaviour was so bad and as I'm pregnant. The manger did givee them a warning but couldn't ask then to leave as they were part of a party however this is discussing and they should have been removed straight away without any hesitation. Out of this situation all we got was a free pass for next time but how this situation was handled I dont think I will be back again as regardless of them being part of a party there behaviour was really bad and then...
Read moreCame here with my little girl for her schoolfriend's party. She had a lovely time. I, however did not. If it wasn't for one of the other Mums my daughter wouldn't have been able to stay for the second half. This is because of the lack of disabled access to the upstairs party area. You have no lift and no way of accessing the upstairs party facilities at all for those who like myself, are in wheelchairs. I was told that somebody could help me up the stairs. That is no good to me, I can barely manage stairs in my own home with help on a good day at home I am not going to attempt to do that in a packed out public place with children running up and down knocking me off balance. Is it that you believe that people in wheelchairs do not/can not procreate? I had to sit downstairs alone for 45 minutes while everybody else was upstairs with theirs and MY (child)ren! This is not acceptable. The reason I was told you do not have a lift is because it was too expensive. The amount of money you take in off the public on a daily basis and you cannot aford to put in a lift to acclimatise for people like me is honestly a disgrace. I felt humiliated and honestly wished I hadn't of taken my daughter to the party (how bad is that!?). I cannot remember the last time I felt this segregated so if you are in a wheelchair and are invited to a childs party, as awful as it is, don't go! It is not worth your feelings and if you have noone you trust to watch your child then they will miss half of it...
