We visited MFA Bowl Nuneaton on Saturday, with an excited 4 year old and 9 year old – and we won’t be visiting again. Upon arrival, we we’re told that there would be a 45 minute wait, understandable for a Saturday evening as we didn’t book. No problem – we we’re happy to get a drink and let the kids play in the arcade until our lane became free. However, over 50% of the arcade games we’re out of order, with the rest being dirty and sticky. After having to ask if our lane was free after 45 minutes - we headed over to our lane and began to put our names onto the screen when we noticed the device case was broken, and the electronics on show (photo attached) and within touching distance to young children. Faulty equipment that is not suitable for a family friendly bowling facility, at all. Dangerous, unsafe and unprofessional - just like the toilets! If we had used the toilets before we paid, we wouldn’t have stayed here for the evening. Let’s start with the disabled toilet, which we took a 4 year old into! Clearly, I don’t think it had been cleaned months (photo attached), never mind had the bins empty or got restocked with essentials such as toilet roll or soap. Urine all over the floor, used nappies, and a bad bad smell. Have a look at the photo, because that is the cleanest toilet of the lot – the ladies and gents are worse, with broken locks on the doors, dirt, urine, rubbish etc all over the place. After seeing the toilets, we had to inform the staff of the state of the facilities - before somebody gets ill. We got the reply of ‘we clean them but there is nothing we can do about them getting dirty again, as that is what people are like around here’. So, admittedly, he knew the issues with the toilets, and is quite happy to leave them as they are. Good luck if you’re coming with a baby, you’re better of walking across the road to KFC to use their facilities as I can only compare this place to a zoo. Onto the bowling … the lane broke down 7 times during the 1 hour session we paid for. Each and every time we asked a member of staff to help, it was quite clear they had no interest in helping, and that we we’re becoming a nuisance asking them to help, rather than stand around at the front desk chatting to one another. So, tips for this place if you’re planning to visit, which I HIGHLY recommend you don’t … - watch out for the numerous pieces of faulty equipment - if anything happens during the game, it is your fault and the staff will not help. - go to the toilet before you come, if you need to go whilst you’re here, go to KFC instead. - I’d advise you get a bottled drink rather than anything in a glass, looking at the cleanliness of the facility.

When I called to book a lane I was advised on the deals available and went with one of the special offers. It was nice that the gentleman told me all the offers for a Sunday and helped in this way. They have completely remodeled the alley. We took a group of children for an hour of bowling and it was a blast. There were social distance measures in place and the staff were extremely friendly. Two girls at reception, Leah and I was unable to get the other ones name, provided us with a lane for just our group. Leah came to check on us throughout our session and was taking food orders for the other bowlers at the alley. Mark came later and took our order after we turned on our light for food service. He was very friendly and professional and it was an easy experience. The food was excellent. We had chicken nuggets, a Pepperoni pizza and hot dogs for the kids and they were all happy and full. The kids pizza is about the size of one Chicago style pizza where you get the two small ones in a box. There are lots of arcade games to play and prizes to be won. They have air hockey and racing games too. There is a lot to do and 2 hours flew by. Pros - great, friendly staff, food, service, price Cons - none. You might possibly be in a both work another family and children might be moving between both sides of the both and sharing bowling balls. They have measured the space or and even have a system for odd and even bowling balls for the correct side, but you would need to make sure you and the other group adhere to this. Prices are relative to the individual but there are some great offers throughout the week.

Haven't been since it was re furbed (not sure when it was actually done) it's really nice inside. Will definitely go again. Arcade machines as you go in which are handy if you haven't booked (I'd recommend booking as can get busy) Machines give out tickets that you can trade in for prizes. Thought there was a great selection of prizes starting at 10 tickets for a maoam up to maybe 2000 (not sure exactly) for a football or donut shopkin toy) daughter got a flurry topped pen for 160 tickets which we got pretty quickly. Food smelt really good but we didn't have any so can't comment but lots seemed to have food so can't be bad. Did have a tango ice blast which was tasty. They have the normal ramps for kids but also have a few little ramps that look abit like slides which I think were elephants which are fab for smaller kids. Would highly recommend it here

This is for the tenpin bowling please be aware, not the bowling club!

Disgraceful and upsetting visit today, we regularly come and really enjoy it. Sadly we weren't treated very nicely by the girl on the booking desk and by the deputy manager all because we were literally 4 minutes late, so had to rush through 2 games in just over half hour!! Booked the lane for 1.30 and was told by the girl we would be 'kicked' off the lane by 2.10pm even if we hadn't finished the game! I asked why and was told they can't make the next customer wait 4 minutes for the lane. It was 4 minutes not an hour and totally unavoidable due to roadworks by the beefeater near the bowling alley. My daughter was utterly disappointed and upset we had to rush. They only had half the lanes open and when I asked why they said it was because they were having the barriers replaced. Then as were rushing through the games the deputy manager came over and I thought he was going to tell me we had to leave and he said no you still have 7 minutes left and then proceeded to rationalise why they had to do what they did and kept asking me how I would I feel if I had to wait 4 minutes for my lane? Wow, it's 4 minutes it's not really an issue!! I don't understand why he needed to do that wasting precious time I had bowling, I said I would prefer to discuss it after we had finished as things were getting heated and he said come and see me when you're finished. My daughter wanted to go on the arcades for a bit and then after she went to claim her tickets the deputy manager was at the desk and I just wanted to highlight that we had our visit totally ruined and my daughter was so upset, I said that they only had half the lanes open to which I was given a reply of 'That's not my fault!' it's not mine either to be fair. He did give me his name and despite receiving awful customer service I won't post his name, the girl on the desk refused to give me her name. If the main manager would like to get in touch to verify this review I'm happy for them to do so.

I can only presume they were over booked and struggling with the lack of lanes, if I had known that I would have been more than happy to book later, even if they had said can you come back in an hour, all I kept getting was how would feel if you had to wait 4 minutes for your lane? I'd wait half hour, there's an arcade to keep you busy! Incidentally it was a group of lads who were using the lanes next I'm sure they wouldn't have minded waiting just 4 minutes. Ultimately I've lost ÂŁ30 and had a horrendous time and an upset daughter who was looking forward to it as a half term treat. It's such a shame as we've always loved coming here it's so much better since the refurbishment but such a shame customer...

I booked a party for my daughter on a Friday night at 5 -7. When I got there I booked and ordered some chips as an extra. The chips came out straight away but no pizzas or squash or slushy which was in with my booking. I went over twice to the bar and the girl there said nothing has come through yet I will go and ask. Another 10 mins went by before she brought us the drinks. Still no pizza at this point so I went back over another two times asking different members of staffs. Both members asked if I had filled in a slip to which I said yes and they went and asked in the kitchen. They came back and said would be around 10 mins. This was at 6:35, the party was due to finish at 7. At 7:05 they were still no pizzas so I went back over to the bar. The girl said again she would ask in the kitchen. I was then sent over a young girl who I assume was the manager. She again asked if I had filled in the slip and then said it hadn't gone through to the kitchen and apologised. She said she could do the pizzas now, but has the parents were truning up I said I would like a refund. She told me they couldn't do a refund but instead gave me a free family return ticket. Also, I had to go over to get my daughter's cake which I thought would be brought over to us lit but no, I had to go and ask for a lighter which I was sent from the bar to the reception back to the bar to get a lighter and then told I had to light it at the bar and walk over to the lane with it lit. I was then told after that I would need to go back over to the bar to cut the cake at the bar. I was handed a knife at the bar so I could cut it there and then walk back over to my lane. All in all the staff didn't seem to know what was happening and in my opinion there wasn’t enough staff for a Friday evening. I booked it as a party thinking they would take care of things like the cake but I didn't even get the food to feed the guests at the party let alone sort my cake out. I had to individually apologise to all the parents for the fact that all their children had to eat was a few chips which luckily I brought separately. Shame this happened because apart from the organisation, my daughter and her friends had a...
