Alexandra Park — Attraction in Portsmouth

Although the local council has spent lots of money decorating this area in Portsmouth it still needs more doing to it. The lovely walk around the lake is fatal with cyclist and scooters and we’re nearly often hit by them racing through when we have the children with us or when we’re walking dogs. It’s a shame the council didn’t put some kind of speed bumps on the ground or like before paint a cycle Lane for the bikes and a lane for the people to walk and feel safe. Great big open space to walk the pup. Reasonably well maintained but I do wish that people would pick up their dog's mess. Plenty of dog waste bins around so not really an excuse.

A nice multi-purpose space ideal for exercising, walking the dog(s) or for a nice family picnic. Some families/groups do need to learn to pick up after themselves after a gathering though. It's not nice to see beer cans, wine bottles, crisp packets and disposable barbecues left behind.
