What a lovely afternoon out! The castle tiny but it's everything you'd expect of an historic building and it's set in beautiful grounds with an amazing view. The museum is great for kids - they even get to play an explorer game while they look around which makes it a lot more fun - my husband and I got involved too. The price for the museum is fair and worth it, considering the castle as a whole. The art gallery was tiny but actually a lot more interesting than I expected - I just wish I had the money to buy some of the amazing pieces. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout and the gift shop was reasonably priced. There's even a kids playground so you can literally spend hours here, which is far more than I expected. Honestly a pleasant surprise, a great find and a fab...

Friendly staff man the place, with a small shop for souvernirs. Unfortunately, the cafe was closed on my visit 😕 (February Half Term 2022), but Clitheroe town centre outside should have plenty of...
