Not the best experience!! We went for lunch to celebrate our wedding anniversary & chose the restaurant after reading great reviews. We were seated, given menus & offered water. We ordered drinks & food from the a la carte menu. Then sadly things went down hill, the waiter brought the drinks, put my husband’s down on the table then spilt mine all over the table, floor & my husband. He said oh no, has it gone on you? Before we got to answer he walked off & returned with something to mop up the drink whilst the lady who was front of house just said move them to another table & promptly told other diners to mind the wet floor there’d been a bit of a mishap!! Not once were we asked if we were ok. We moved table & starters arrived, twice baked cheese soufflé (good choice) & roast tomato soup (not so good, lacked seasoning). Main course we both ordered the wild duck, that was delicious & cooked to our liking, warning watch out for the lead shot!! At least we knew it was wild!! Dessert we shared the ginger parkin (delicious) & a cheese board. We asked for the bill & again the drinks incident was never mentioned, we at least expected an apology & maybe some gesture of good will but nothing. As we left the lady who was front of house just said bye as she was resetting a table, it was if the drinks incident had never happened. We left rather disappointed & both said what a shame it could have been really nice but the service let the...

Tom’s Table is truly a hidden gem in the northwest, offering an experience that feels more like a delightful escape than just a meal. Nestled in the most idyllic of settings, this charming restaurant greets you with a picturesque courtyard out front. On a sunny day, dining here feels like you’ve been transported to the south of France—warm, inviting, and utterly serene.

The recent addition of the bar extension is a masterstroke, and I’m already looking forward to cozy winter visits. Their extensive selection of wines and handcrafted cocktails makes it the perfect spot to unwind during colder months. The warm, welcoming atmosphere, complete with inviting interiors and a sense of rustic elegance, creates a cozy vibe that will leave you wanting to linger for hours.

The food? Absolutely stunning. Every dish is crafted to perfection with an attention to detail that elevates it to something truly special. Whether it’s a casual lunch or an indulgent dinner, the menu never disappoints, delivering rich, flavorful plates that showcase both quality ingredients and expert preparation.

For me, Tom’s Table has become the ultimate Sunday destination. After a long walk around the beautiful Ribble Valley, there’s no better place to relax and enjoy an exceptional meal. If you’re looking for somewhere to treat yourself to an unforgettable dining experience, this is the...

Tom’s Table catered for mine and my husbands wedding at The Out Barn in Clitheroe last week and we can noooot thank them enough for the outstanding food and service they have shown us over the last few months. We were invited to their restaurant for a taster meal on them to sample our canapés and meal choices and they were just all soooo delicious. We chose their Ribble Valley blade of beef as our wedding breakfast main and it was just 1000000/10 chefs kiss! Hiiiiighly recommend this it was literally falling apart and just sooo perfect. Everything was just perfect, perfect, perfect. The mushroom arrancini balls during our drinks reception were just insane everyone was going back for more my brother and sister in law were finding different waiters to get them from and my friend ate 10!!!!!! From the moment we booked we knew we’re in safe hands with Tom’s Table. I honestly can’t recommend them enough both their restaurant and catering service just all absolutely stunning. Special shout out to Stacey who has been just amazing in helping me organise everything she is a star and a credit to you guys. Thank you Tom and everyone at Tom’s Table who fed us all the most delicious food IN THE WORLD. We will see you soon, much love Lauren...

We tried Toms Table out for a wedding anniversary this year. We pre booked a table, which I would advise doing on the busier nights. You will receive a confirmation email closer to the time to reconfirm your booking, so keep an eye out for it. We started with some drinks in the bar area, nice cocktail selection but limited draught beer. Negroni was lovely! After 20 minutes or so we went downstairs to the dining area and reviewed the menu. I had the seasonal vegetarian option, vegetable gratin with a wild garlic pesto. This was delicious but the portion size was quite small, I'm glad I ordered some chips with this. My wife had Moroccan venison which was very good and well cooked (medium rare) We each had a parkin for dessert which was fantastic and such a treat. Staff were attentive and we didn't have to wait long for anything. It is slightly pricier than other establishments in the town but for an elevated dining experience this was a wonderful treat

Left disappointed After reading all the positive reviews we expected a lot. On arrival we were greeted by Ben who was very warm and welcoming, a good sign we thought. The place is lovely, set in a pretty courtyard. At £32 for a two course Sunday lunch you’d expect to leave full. Starters were nice, nothing special and then the beef mains arrived. I honestly thought as did my husband that they were going to bring out the sides separately - there wasn’t much on the plate. The beef was lovely but there were hardly any vegetables to be seen and two tiny roast potatoes. Gravy & Yorkshires lacked flavour and the whole thing needed seasoning. Price wise, had this of been around £26 for two courses we wouldn’t have felt so short changed. The toilets need updating desperately too. Over priced, under seasoned and sadly we won’t be returning.

A quiet Tuesday night didn't help the ambience here but it was pleasant enough despite this. We were gasping for an aperitif but the waiter's promise to return to take a drinks order while we perused the menu failed to materialise and he arrived back eventually to take our food order. Incredible how many times this happens in restaurants. The food was disappointing. Appealing-sounding dishes with great flavours in the sauces and accompaniments were fatally undermined in all three dishes we tried by overcooked central ingredients. Tough flavourless prawns, dry tasteless chicken breast and a large chunk of lamb thoroughly rendered of all succulence and flavour. Frustrating, as it could all have been great.
