I spent the weekend at TeamSport Farnborough, and let me tell you — by the time I left on Sunday evening, I was half convinced I’d joined the Formula 1 circuit and half certain my spine was vibrating at 50 Hz. This place doesn’t just do karting — it lives it. The smell of rubber, the hum of electric motors, the faint aroma of victory (and probably a bit of sweat)
It’s magnificent. The track itself is a multi-level labyrinth of joy — a tangle of straights, hairpins, and ramps that make you feel like you’re driving through a video game someone forgot to switch off. The electric karts are surprisingly punchy too — silent assassins that fling you round corners with the kind of acceleration that makes you re-evaluate your life choices halfway through a bend. You think you’re just having a bit of fun until you glance at the lap times and realise you’ve been treating every corner like Eau Rouge. Now, the real stars here are Fletcher and his team. These people don’t just keep the show running — they make you feel like a racer. From the moment we arrived, they were superb: safety briefings that didn’t drag, quick helmet fittings, endless patience with every “can I just do one more race?”, and always smiling — even when the rest of us were sweaty, competitive lunatics. Fletcher himself deserves a medal. He somehow managed to keep everything perfectly organised while still finding time to offer tips on how to shave tenths off my lap times. That’s the kind of track-side coaching you don’t expect outside Monaco. We paid extra for the Crazy Golf, because, well, if you’ve spent half the day pretending to be Lewis Hamilton, you might as well end it pretending you’re Tiger Woods. It’s an absolute laugh — brilliantly designed, plenty of silly challenges, and the perfect cooldown between bouts of karting carnage. I’m convinced I took it too seriously, but that’s hardly the venue’s fault. Here’s the bit that really impressed me: both days, Fletcher and his team offered us extra sessions — no upselling, no hard push, just genuine “do you want a bit more track time?” energy. Naturally, we said yes. Twice. Because who in their right mind would say no to more laps when you’ve just found the perfect racing line? It’s that kind of hospitality that keeps you coming back. Facilities-wise, everything was spotless. The cafĂ© area was great solid burgers, good coffee, and an excellent place to watch other people make the same mistakes you just did. Timing systems ran smoothly, the track marshals were sharp, and the whole atmosphere just screamed “fun without faff.” By the end of Sunday, my arms felt like overcooked linguine, my competitive streak was fully awakened, and my respect for TeamSport Farnborough was absolute. They’ve managed to strike that perfect balance of adrenaline and organisation — the chaos of racing, but wrapped in the professionalism of people who genuinely care about your experience. Verdict: If you want to spend a weekend doing something that feels equal parts motorsport, comedy, and cardio workout, this is it. Fletcher and the crew made it unforgettable — helpful, attentive, and clearly proud of what they do. I’ll be back. Probably with a neck brace and a grin. Ill be back!

Went karting on this fantastic track for the first time a few day ago. 800m of adrenaline fueled fun, well electric fun. Yes the karts are electric but don't let that put you off. The experience from the moment you check in to leave is faultless, an amazing team that are are happy to help and give tips on getting the best times. Overall had fulfilling experience and all the staff were very helpful. I would recommend this track to anyone. I have got that tasted back from my younger years karting will definitely be back again very soon. Side note but doesn't effect the star rating, the bar is very over priced

Great fun as usual. As soon you get in the venue, you feel the excitement of kart racing. The friendly staff behind the counter, welcome you and kindly ask you to register if you have not already done so. They provide you with the racing suit, but you need to buy the gloves and the balaclava for a reasonable price. If you want your own elmet they have a good selection with reasonable prices. After the briefing, then is time to race. We booked the 3 sessions of 15 minutes each, and trust me, it is plenty of fun . They recently upgraded the kart that goes even faster with a boost button 😀.

Cowboy Karting Centre at its finest!

I wish to complain about the lack of support from all the staff at your farnborough location after several incidents took place in our final session. My partner I booked in with was repeatedly crashed into by another person, a member at the track, and was also called into the pits for unsportsmanlike driving. However the other customer was still continuing to use her kart as a brake, more than once driving her into the barriers in places with restricted view of a Marshall post, causing her significant pain which is now going to affect her moving forward. The Marshall again continued to act more interested in just watching than actually controlling the race. At one point another customer ended up stuck in the barrier, and it took me stopping by a Marshall to even get the attention to help them.

I believe that the members at this track are given favouritism by the staff that work there, if any other driver had been driving that way they would be pulled from the track. I've had hundreds of sessions at this circuit and never before has the staff been so dismissive and unbothered by the bad driving happening during the sessions. As a former member I understand that not everyone is as good as everyone else, but there is a difference in ability, and unsafe driving.

I've been coming to Farnborough since it first opened, I'm shocked and appalled that the standards of safety are now so lax, there was no point at which we felt our complaints about poor driving were heard, we were made to feel bad, and quite frankly I feel that my partner was not listened to because of her gender and the fact that she was a novice at this circuit, she told me that the Marshall just shooed her away when she tried to raise concerns about safety. They also refused to give reasons as to why the member was not also warned about their driving.

Quite frankly the experience today was one I was not expecting. I booked the sessions knowing that TeamSport have a reputation for being fair, safe and giving people of all abilities the chance to experience karting, as per 99% of my experience with them. That is what makes today's treatment of my partner and me so disgusting.

Not only did members get priority in all aspects, from welcome right down to their support throughout the sessions, but I do not feel your staff on site are adequately trained to spot and deal with bullying, aggressive driving tactics, and if they are, they are disregarding this because they believe a membership entitles you to act and drive however you like.

Won't ever return to this awful, amateur teamsport venue, I wouldn't...

I have been 20+ times to Teamsport, and the majority to Farnborough. This was the most frustrating visit. The reason. Constant yellow and red flags caused by inexperienced drivers spinning. Now, the frustration is not with the inexperienced karters...as they should be enouraged to enjoy the sport. But, you must consider this. If the lower level had a better, grippier surface, the amount of spins would have been drastically reduced. So, PLEASE consider upgrading the surface. We all appreciate it is slippery...but in reality, young inexperienced karters make the same mistake repeatedly. Of course they will. They are not being coached and they do not understand how easy it is to spin an electric kart on a surface that has so little grip. But, in my 2 x 15 mins sessions I did not get one clean flying lap. This clearly makes the experience not worth the money.

Now for the postive. JAMIE our race host was extremely helpful. After my second session I told him that I did not get a clear lap. He could see I was extremely dissapointed, so he offered another 15 mins session in a group of 5 drivers. This was perfect, and my son and I had a great session.

I know its a big ask...but the lower level surface really let's down the whole karting experience. It is so different to the upper level, and completely different to any other indoor surface I have driven on. As an experienced karter it is a challenge that is acceptable, but you have to think about the thousands of young, inexperienced karters that drive at Farnborough. They must be so dissapointed to be constantly losing control and stopping the racing. And in terms of safety, it would be far safer to have a higher grip surface, to reduce the spins, incidents, crashes etc.

For the first 2 x 15 mins experiences I would rate 0 out of 5. For our final session (thanks to JAMIE) I would rate 5 out of 5.

BUT...in the future I will look to drive elsewhere (at Teamsport) because the risk of having a seriously dissrupted (and frustrating) arrive & drive experience at Farnborough is just unacceptably high.

I hope this feedback is useful. I must say the staff were all excellent, JAMIE, FLETCH and all the bar staff were kind, helpful and friendly.

BELOW you will see a low rating for this visit. This is purely based on the first 2 x 15 mins sessions. As, if Jamie had not offered a third session, we would have left EXTREMELY unsatisfied and...
