Barnford Park — Attraction in Sandwell

I hadn't been to this park since I was a schoolgirl and enjoyed a walk round with my niece and her children ,my sister and a friend who lives local and regular uses the park to exercise her dog Lily. It was a bright chilly day but the youngsters found plenty to entertain them on the play areas and the Skateboard facility. What a lovely place ,with a car park and plenty space for it to feel uncrowded. Shame the only picnic bench is in the play area so Lily had to be kept outside. I like this park, it's a nice park with different play areas set up for kids, football pitches, basketball, a skate ramp and a maze and it's a nice spot to walk the dog however recently some of the people using the park have let it down. We visited the park with our eleven month old granddaughter to take her on the baby swings. The little playground was fenced off to protect from dogs I assume. The play equipment was fine and she had an exciting time on the swings. There are other playground areas too to suit different age ranges. The rose garden and maze looked well kept.
