First visit inside the Steeple. Interesting to hear from both volunteer guides history about it being a prison. Round staircase to the first floor for the men, the continued up to the second floor for women, top floor only had a peek as not open to the public. Great to hear from the guide his family history linking story told about a woman prisoner!

If you are looking to learn about the history of Falkirk and it's Steeple then pop in on Tuesday's and Saturday's for a free tour. Funny and nice tour guides. Totally enjoyed the tour. Lots of pictures with details on the wall in the reception to help you flow with the tour stories.

Not sure why Google have asked me to review this, as my visit was really just walking past it to get to a shop, but on that premise, the steeple in Falkirk is perfect for walking past, i was able to walk along the street beside it with no issues what so ever, the ground around the steeple is well paved, making walking past it very easy indeed, there are no restrictions in the area and you can walk past the Steeple in a variety of directions, for the more adventurous walker there is also the option of walking along the lane at the north side of the steeple and 30 feet later you can be in Wooer street, which is also really good for walking past stuff. I think that pretty much covers walking past Falkirk Steeple, and if you choose to make this a stop over on your visit to the area, i hope you also enjoy walking past the steeple too. But on a more visitor friendly note, the steeple does have an interesting historical story behind it and some visitors may want to do a bit of...
