Not sure why Google have asked me to review this, as my visit was really just walking past it to get to a shop, but on that premise, the steeple in Falkirk is perfect for walking past, i was able to walk along the street beside it with no issues what so ever, the ground around the steeple is well paved, making walking past it very easy indeed, there are no restrictions in the area and you can walk past the Steeple in a variety of directions, for the more adventurous walker there is also the option of walking along the lane at the north side of the steeple and 30 feet later you can be in Wooer street, which is also really good for walking past stuff. I think that pretty much covers walking past Falkirk Steeple, and if you choose to make this a stop over on your visit to the area, i hope you also enjoy walking past the steeple too.
