Went for a dinner and got a pint, we all got ID'd and i didnt have mine so i handed the server my pint back and said to her "ive not got ID so you can take that back" she didnt say anything but left it on the table so i assumed it was fine, she came back to the table with food 3 times and i was drinking the pint in front of her. Half way through my pint the manager takes it off me saying I've not got ID so i cant drink it, i feel it should have been taken off the table then and there and when we tried to complain they said "we can add in the complaint that i drank it despite not having ID so ive broke the law" im 24 years old ive broken no law they broke the law by handing me a pint then leaving that pint with me after establishing i dont have ID. The attitude we got because of their mistake was out of order. I also work with challenge 25 and understand no ID no alcohol my issue has came with the fact they had seen me drinking the pint and waited until we were about to finish our meal before coming and correcting their mistake and they did it in such a rude manner. I liked spoons but i wont be...
Read moreits spoons what would you expect? cheap drinks, simple food and blurred memories :) considering the location of this chain of wetherspoons the carron works often provides an eclectic atmosphere (given the day) service is always fast and reliable, i rarely have any complaints about the food but recently every meal i’ve destroyed at this location has been piping hot clearly they have been making “fresh” to order which is a delightful change from the norm, Ashleigh and Chloe are some of the most considerate bar staff i have ever had the pleasure of meeting, their exceptional customer service skills and willing to assist in customer needs should be fully appreciated and rewarded! it’s obvious the reason people flock back to all spoons is for the cheap drink, simple food and blurred memories but not many wetherspoons make you want to come back for the exceptional service :) thank you ladies for making every visit an absolute pleasure @mrjdwetherpoon give them a...
Read moreGood food, what you expect from the average Spoons. The atmosphere was nice, however the manager was very rude. Was in the bathroom sharing a cubicle with a friend (for personal disability related reasons) and the manager came into the bathroom demanding we both come out. I left the cubicle but my friend didn't because they weren't finished yet, and the manager got really rude demanding for them to exit the cubicle. She didn't say anything after we both left the bathroom but later came to our family table and demanded us all to leave. We tried to explain to her the reasoning but she wouldn't listen, insisting we must leave the establishment immediately. It was our first time visiting and definitely won't be going again. If the manager was even a little understanding I wouldn't have a problem with this however her attitude and...
