The first time I came here was back in the early Eighties and can remember seeing the awesome circus (when lions and elephants were still allowed in a fairly haphazard environment) and the churned aftermathwhen it left. Seen it flooded almost out of existence too. But it just bounces back and is a great place for picnics and listening to the bagpipes at the bandstand which I saw the other evening.

Playpark for little and bigger adventurers. Nest swing, monkey swing on a go-around, climbing tower with tunnel slide... For the little ones 2 swings, seasaw, climb-and-slide and a surrounding grass area enclosed by a hedge. Beyond is a "dog-range" where most people run their dogs and others occasionally play soccer. Lots of benches in the park for picnic. There's a band stand that's used every so often. Cupar on bloom provides the most beautiful flower arrangements in the flowerbeds, so each season is a joy. The park is used for community activities (Duck Race, Christmas Tree...). Watch out: at times the park gets flooded, if the weather is nice the play park fills up quickly and can feel overcrowded. In this case take a stroll down the paved path along the Eden and when you're back there's probably a space for you...
