Saltcoats Harbour — Attraction in Scotland

Can be beautiful views over Bay on either side of sea wall. Its possible to walk round when tide is low and calmer waters . The water is fairly clean though some rubbish visible . The walkways are clear . The metal barriers are rusting a bit . There is a short passage through from one side of sea wall to the other side . Amazing family fun for price of an ice cream. Hadn't planned to visit here but when we saw the beach decided to stop with our picnic. The beach was quite quiet and spotlessly clean. Had hours of fun enjoying the fresh air, even had a paddle. Only a few other families on this beach and all lovely. A lovely spot for a walk along the harbour side. Hasn’t had the capital expenditure that Irvine has benefitted from but this may be because the Council Offices at the Town Hall have been refurbished at considerable expense. My advice - obey the notice not to feed the seagulls. If you do, you will find a cloud of the beasts following you every step of the way (my daft friend did this and regretted it).
