Extraordinary Golf — Attraction in Staffordshire Moorlands

Name
Extraordinary Golf
Description
Most golfers approach the tee with a complex mental package: worries and judgments about their swing, the other person's swing, the course, the weather, looking good, looking bad. They think about what's wrong instead of what's possible, and this is what Extraordinary Golf teaches: the art of the possible. ...

The golf was included as part of our hotel package. There was 8 in our party and this seemed a very popular attraction perhaps other guest had done just as we did and travel to Alton towers for the day and stay over the night before heading back home the following day. So this was busy. There are two courses to chose from both equally as good as each other. There is a little kiosk at the front where you get your clubs and balls from and that's it, no one actually manned the golf so we didn't actually realize we should of only done one but ended doing both which was a lovely bonus. Please appreciate if you have larger parties and young children this can take quite some time and others build up behind quite quickly. Unfortunately we experienced these issues and other users weren't quite as respectful as others therefore ended up with children going a head of their parents and attempting to jump on our turns.

All four of our children are sen but absolutely loved it. As it's included in our hotel stay we would definitely use again, not sure if you can pay on the day if not staying but I believe it...

This is one of my favourite miniature golf courses out there. I often play when I want to avoid traffic, but will always visit when staying on-site thanks to the free 9 holes. The course is so much fun, and is themed so well to the park past and present.

This years upgrades have done really well, but I’d like to see them go further with changing a few holes to fit into some newer rides and attractions but also to some better known lost attractions too.

On a recent visit we got totally rained off, the lovely staff told me to come back the following day for free. Honestly great customer service. My only qualm on the other hand is the course is sometimes overstuffed with guests that makes it very difficult to move through the course at...

If you have this for free as part of your stay in the hotel then upgrade when asked for the full 18 holes. It is crazy golf based on the park rides. It is good fun for the family and inexpensive.

The free voucher with the hotel is the first 9 holes. They are ok and with the family good fun. Upgrade when asked when getting your clubs for £1.50 or so each and you get the next 9 holes which are the really good ones.

It takes about an hour for a family of four to do 9 holes at a gentle pace which is nice when you want to pass some time before going back to the hotel or waiting for the car...

This was free with the hotel but unfortunately the course was not amazing. There were many very hard holes that were not enjoyable especially as the course is designed for kids. The designs were very creative though, and they were themed around the rides. There was lots of queueing as there are two different 9 hole courses. This is probably because of the immense difficulty of the holes holding people up. Also the putters were very light and hard to use. Lastly, the ball always rolls off the course because there are not many barriers around each hole.

I would say this is one of Britain’s leading miniature golf courses. The scenery is fantastic and well maintained. The walkways are all block paved to a very high standard and each of the 18 holes links to one of the more famous rides in the Alton towers park- eg they have holes for oblivion, nemesis etc etc. money has definitely been spent here no doubt about it. Maybe the golf course carpet floor may need to be replaced within two years. Other than that- perfect
