Rita — Attraction in Staffordshire Moorlands

Best ride in Alton Towers! Yes it might not have as fancy theming as some of the others, but the thrill and adrenaline rush you get from this is unmatched! It feels like the fastest rollercoaster there as its not got the loops going upside down so can keep at a faster speed all the way around the track! Its unique compared to all of the other rides due to the launch 60mph in 2.5 seconds, you never get that experience without this! I went on it twice yesterday and it is still my favourite ride in the park since its arrival in 2005! Please keep this ride forever!!! Or at least something similar with the super fast launch. Not everyone wants to go upside down all the time, flat and super super fast is mega!!!! A sonic the hedgehog theme for this ride would be amazing!!! 100% need to try this ride if you have the need for speed! Makes me smile so much coming...

It is Europe's first launch coaster and it doesn't let me down. The launch may not be faster than Oblivions drop at 61 mph Vs 68 mph but looking at the lights and then you get launched in 2.5 seconds and it really gives a gut wrenching feeling and the layout has many airtime hills but I think it is other too quick and slows down to early in the second part. It also has the longest cattle pen queue in the resort and it has never fitted in the theming of the land it was in but I think the launch will always be fun and if you don't like inversions this is a good launch coaster and it has a seatbelt to keep down your restraint. I think it is a good ride but some of its aspects aren't as good as others on the world but it is a good part of the Alton...

Rita is faster than you think it looks. Before you know it, the ride is over in what feels like 20 seconds. The drops make your stomach drop. It feels like you’re almost gonna die!😅 I also wanted to get off ASAP, but I would also ride it again. A powerful launch at the start makes you not able to move your face due to all the G force.

My sister hurt her arm on launch, so don’t put your hands up. Old but gold memories here. The ride is open most of the time except for this week (as it keeps breaking down)
