Torkington Park is where fun time meets Mr Green, There are football pitches, tennis courts, bowling greens and mini golf courses. It is possible to play pooh sticks in the stream or give your dogs or even your horse a good run.. For those seeking a quieter life with perhaps a little light meditation there is a secluded "secret garden" although I might just've let that cat out of the bag! Read moreWe visited Torkington park on a Sunday afternoon. This park is really great enough equipment to keep the children engaged ours are 8 years old. There are enough things from climbing frames to roundabout. Once the children had finished with the equipment they could go off for a scoot to the other side of the park around the tarmac track which does a full circle of the park. Then they finished off playing in the wooded area which they felt fun and interesting but we could still keep an eye on them. Thanks to the local authority and a devoted community of friends, it is now a lovely recreational space. The walled garden is an oasis of beauty and tranquility, while the main park offers a woodland walk along a stream and plenty of open space. The children's playground has been recently re-equipped.
