This fun little museum exists in a converted fire station!
There’s ample parking and is definitely worth a stop - if only to meet the kind and knowledgeable people there who generously give of their time and knowledge to get you up to speed on the what’s-what of Wotton-under-Edge, where heaven meets earth.
This isn’t just a museum, it’s a vibrant, beating heart of a community, powered by the sheer kindness and passion of its people.
While there I was enthralled by the life of, former resident, originally from Poland, writer and artist Sophie Gaudier-Brzeska.
It was also cool so see how the US supported the UK in World War II (we’re all in this together ❤️ - May we pray for world peace).
Equally, I loved seeing a photo of the factory where elastics for sewing was made that is now repurposed as a technology space! Don’t you just love history?!
And the best part is the homework I walked away with - to visit the top of a hill offering a panoramic view of this precious town, as well as, a view all the way to Wales!
This little dynamo of a museum packs a big punch - thanks to the kindness and warm heartedness of its people.
May God bless them. May God bless us all....
