Great old fashoined pub. Landlady keeps a good house and manages the staff effectively. Never any roudiness and a pleasant atmosphere. Parking close by. Guest ales are very popular and a great welcome to the normal box standard beers available at the large chains. Weekends often see Bands with a wide genre of music bringing in the clientèle. Sometimes free nibbles or a burger bar are available. This is the pub to go to in Wotton whether you are old or young. Something for all. Quiz night is Sunday and is quite popular. Themed evenings are also well supported with punters travelling from over the district for the atmosphere. A large pub with a great paved outside area and cosey corners inside. A friendly pub with a nice interior and an enclosed rear area for food and drinks. This also includes a seated area undercover. Good for all ages. They have live brands and Sky Sports for those bigger events too. The food is very good value for both quality and cost. I've never had any reason to say otherwise during the 15 years or so midday visits. Although, I personally don't like the beer very much any more after the take over. Far too hoppy and young for my liking, let alone for an ale. They do not take card payments, cash only. However, they do have a cash machine but unfortunately will charge you £1 for the convenience. They do not have on site parking but there is a large car park 30 seconds away. Keep in mind that this can get busy during peek times. All in all worth 4s, 5s if Wickwar Brewery bring in unrestricted...

Absolutely fantastic gaff,well coordinated the friendly staff are.thrashing out there tasks with neatly words of encouragement to each other whislt keeping a watchful eye to be sure your stay is made most enjoyable and relaxing ...congratulations on a well oil coil..the beers are kept in tiptop condition,also great choice of other delights on offer namely food(which is a fantastic price(most mains under £6.00€6.01??)a glorious (gert)portion awaits you😅!!
