If you're looking for a beautiful and peaceful place to relax and unwind, Roker Pier is definitely worth a visit. This charming pier offers stunning views of the ocean and its surroundings, making it a great place to watch the sunset or simply take a leisurely stroll.

One of the best things about Roker Pier is the variety of dining options available. Whether you're in the mood for some fresh seafood, a light snack or a delicious cup of coffee, you'll find plenty of great choices nearby.

In addition to the pier, there are plenty of beautiful beaches nearby where you can take your pets for a walk or just soak up the sun. The area is also surrounded by beautiful parks and gardens, so there's always something new to explore.

Overall, I highly recommend Roker Pier as a top-notch destination for anyone looking for a 5-star experience. With its beautiful scenery, great dining options, and endless opportunities for relaxation and fun, this is truly a hidden gem...

Built over 100 years ago to allow press ganged sailors a last chance opportunity to jump ship and return to god's country, Roker Pier now serves as an excellent platform from which one can view our excellent coastline from a perspective normally reserved only for seafarers. Take in the panoramic views of Sunderland's coastline or look seaward to spot a pod of dolphins whilst listening to the dulcet tones of local fishermen who's pastime your are currently interrupting whilst standing in the exact spot handed down to them as a birthright. You'll be left in no doubt as to why the pier was constructed with a tunnel to facilitate safe access to the lighthouse back in the day. Returning to shore you'll be able to sample some of the local delights from one of the many excellent food outlets dotted along the front, safe in the knowledge that you're parked in the only car parks to charge along the sea...

If your looking for a fun day out with family or indeed just somewhere to visit during a rainy day, then Roker Pier is the place for you. A wonderful picturesque location on the North Sea coast with fantastic eateries close by catering for many tastes, including fish and chips to cup cakes ! Local fun playpark for the kids and clean accessable toilets, including disabled facilities. Great ample parking facilities, including disabled parking makes visiting this location so easy. The new visitor centre located as you enter the Pier, is a great start as you walk along the Pier towards the grand looking lighthouse. On cold rainy days I come here just to park up, have a coffee and take in the sea atmosphere. This truly is one of Sunderland's brightest gems, highly...

Very nice. I had a lovely run along the pier yesterday. Unfortunately, the many lads fishing thought it appropriate to leave various fish entrails and blood all over the ground where they where fishing which was drying nicely in the hot sun creating an interest amongst the flies and a more interesting aroma. Imagine my delight as I rounded the restored Light House only to find a gentleman relieving himself in the doorway. What a wonderful sight of his steaming hot piss cascading down the steps into my very path. It was almost as if the disgusting inbred bastard had been expecting me.

Popped down early this morning to see the sun rise I’ve not been lucky lately, but this morning was beautiful, if you haven’t been along to roker pier yet you certainly need to the beech east lovely and clean cafes on the see front with toilets not far away either, between the top piers the wild swimmers meet for a early morning dip if that’s your thing These images are now available to buy please feel free to get in touch for more details thanks

My fav place to be in the North east, lush walk along, loads of nice cafes and bars and loads are dog friendly! Tgere are nice clean toilets, quite alot of parking and its only £3 for a full day! It's a great place for a swim or water sports and bonus there is often dolphins 🐬 they sometimes come right in the harbour
