Me my mum attended the Pavilion yesterday with my niece and nephew for a great day out...
We got our tickets and we thought things were very simple, yet we felt massively let down by those who manage the pavilion area. We were not informed on aspects of staffing levels and ride shortages.
Lots of rides un staffed as there were 1 member of staff between 3 rides, which i feel is a health and safety nightmare and very dangerous. We were not told whether it was peak or non peak season. A lot of staff were not the most welcoming to members of the public like they didn't enjoy their jobs and this is a customer facing role I feel this is very unprofessional. We had to speak to several members of staff just to get on rides due to the 1 staff to 3 rides ratio lots of parents very angry and bored of waiting and lots of children upset. We how ever made the best we could of the day and got to speak to management whom told us later about the staffing ratio due to out of season even though it was a weekend, we told them it wasn't safe and this needs looking at she apologised .
I unfortunately wont be doing this again as this has put me off. you pay £8.99 for wristband which when half the rides are unmanned or shut is day light robbery! These wristbands don't cover you you for rides on the main pier either they are separate. Lots of rides you still had to pay for and lots of grab machines not working.
We eventually went to the pier and went to the arcades to enjoy the rest of our time down their.
If you do go here please ask staff to explain everything as the staff also don't seem very knowledgeable or bothered to explain much.
I prefer to use the actual facilities
Lots of staff training needed and how they work together as a team. Signage needed on rides.
Lots of other issues which need...

⚠️THE PAVILION FUN PARK, CLACTON!!! ⚠️
These awful, vile men humiliated and discriminated against my TEN YEAR OLD nephew at The Pavilion Fun Park, Clacton today. ‼️‼️
We were queuing for a ride like everybody else, my nephew with his cane in his hand. When we reached the barrier, the man hosting the ride told us (very loudly too, may I state) that he will ‘have to radio his manager to see if it’s okay’. This man wouldn’t let my nephew on the ride, but allowed other children to pass him to get on. 😶😶 When the manger arrived, he didn’t seem to understand why I was so angry about the whole situation and just shrugged it off as though it was a normal thing to discriminate a 10 year old child for something that is of complete irrelevance to his safety on the ride. 😡😡
My nephew has a condition called Bilateral Anophthalmia, this means he was born without eyes, so therefore wears prosthetics. Other than the fact he is blind, my nephew is like any other child- he is perfectly capable of doing all of the things any other child can do and we have never treated him any differently! Ever! So for him to be standing in a queue full of other ‘able’ kids and be told he has to ‘wait to find out if he can go on the ride’, that every other child is going on, is absolutely disgusting and heartbreaking. 😡💔
Not only did my nephew become extremely upset, he also dropped his cane and is refusing to use it due to feeling ashamed. 🤬🤬🤬🤬
My nephew has been sobbing for the last hour since the incident and this has completely shattered our hearts. 💔💔💔

My husband and I both looked at each other in total shock lenny was waving a plastic envelope thing in his hand full of money and then walked off. We then debated if to stay or not. We did however stay as we really wanted to play. This is the 6th time me and my husband have visited here and never have we been asked to change our shoes but this time Lenny decided my husband had to he made my husband change when we believe it was personal and that he was targeting us for some reason. My husband only ever wears boots. Lenny made us feel awful intimidated and targeted not to mention he had all the staff staring at us too.
A few nights later when we visited Lenny done the same by talking about us to the staff he was even egging on the security guard to make my husband change his shoes again we will never return to this place it is awful that staff make customers feel like that. The place is nice it’s clean and it’s a good vibe but not with Lenny he will make...
