The main proper pathway between the entrances at Dumpton Gap and the exit towards Ramsgate was very busy and dangerous with pedestrians and cyclists. It was impossible to relax and walk comfortably.

I saw a small child being rescued at the last minute from an oncoming cyclist who did not seem to have any means of warning people that he was approaching.

Further, there was a particularly dangerous situation when two bikes are coming in opposite directions and at the same time as two groups of pedestrians also going opposite directions. Complete chaos and upset walkers and cyclists.

Who ever did a Health and Safety risk assessment on this pathway needs to review it immediately and take action to protect the public and prevent a terrinle disaster and a law suit.

I suggest you need to either have no cyclist's allowed on the pathway or have a dedicated cycling lane on the pathway with very...

Beautiful place to walk with your dog. Lovely to walk through any time of the year. They have just planted some new young trees. Nice having woods and the beach either side when you walk through. Dumpton Gap, a dog friendly beach all year and the other side is Winterstoke Gardens, East cliff of Ramsgate has lovely steps down to the beach. Both have beautiful views. There is also a great little cafe that does the best ice cream with lots of variety toppings, homemade cakes, toasties, etc at very good prices. We sometimes stop and treat ourselves to an ice cream when we walk with our dog, he loves ice cream too lol. You can also get to the Italianate Glasshouse from the park which is worth a visit. There is a sectioned off child's playground in the park too which always looks busy with happy children playing. There is also a toilet block...

King George's park is alway a great place to be, it feels much safer as it has more foot traffic the others in the area,

but that doesn't mean you won't get your privacy, there are about five different feilds to relax in, the larger of them is farthest from the main gate and is usually the most quiet, it does catch the wind.

the play area is sheltered from the wind with trees all around it, wish i knew that before having my picnick in the cold haha. I feel the food from the keyosk is a tad overpriced but what do you expect. it's better to bring your own.

I haven't been to the glass house in a long time but i remember them doing...

Just adore this park lots of changes since I was small child many , many years ago . Use your imagination and have a fantastic time whilst your in the park . You cannot get bored walking through King George park. Decided to take a walk through King George Park this morning with my husband and grandson . Had a lovely relaxing stroll watching the squirrels 🐿 jumping from tree 🌲 to 🌳 and the birds 🦅. We played a game of football ⚽️ while park was not busy . Grandson wanted an ice cream but unfortunately they do not take card due to poor internet reception and we do not carry cash with us .

The beautiful Italianate glass greenhouse in King George Vl Memorial Park, Ramsgate was open for 2days this week during Thanet Heritage Events from 8-17 September 2023. Quite hidden away but well worth a look when the green house is open ( the park is always open) and there is a tea garden open on fine weather days with lovely cakes & sandwiches.
