Very helpful reservation team, had a few queries that were dealt with very easily.||The executive suite we had on the 2nd floor was really good, very clean, comfortable 4 poster bed, quiet with an amazing view across the sea from the enclosed balcony.||Great air conditioning, very useful on the hot weekend when we stayed.||The staff on the desk were friendly & helpful.||The one thing that really let the hotel down was the dining experience. The self-service breakfast was very poorly staffed, the food was ok but on both mornings some of the items were cold as the hotplates, on which the tins were laid, were virtually cold. Plates had to be requested when the initial pile had been used & they were brought out cold, so eating cool beans, sausage & bacon from a cold plate wasn't the best experience. The following morning most items were not hot, however we put them on our cold plates & then had to wait for new eggs to be brought from the kitchen. They were hot but by the time they arrived the rest had got colder!!||We did like the self-service drink machine with a good choice of hot drinks.||Small choice of breakfast cereals so for anyone wanting a continental breakfast there wasn't anything apart from a choice of 4 cereals, fruit juice & toast & jam.||Just to mention a super place for cake & coffee/hot choc, ices, cold drinks can be found at the end of Victoria Parade, go out of the front door of the hotel, turn left & walk for less than1/2 mile through the gates to the lovely park to find ALISON'S SEA VIEW CAFE. A great selection of home made cakes! (Not open for a couple of months in...

Our stay was on a Saturday. The hotel was busy and checking in was quick and front of house staff were efficient and knowledgeable. Our room was family room 304. The room was huge the decor was very on point and the bathroom was very modern and catered for our need. The beds were comfortable, pillows were very good. The room also had a TV and a small fridge, desk, wardrobe, sofa bed and tea and coffee maker.|We had a wonderful sea view from the rooms large windows. |The hotel has a brasserie restaurant which has an extensive menu, We chose to have starters and mains a variety of Indian dishes, all dishes were well presented, large portions size and very tasty. |The hotel has a bar area which has wines, beer, spirits and cocktails. You can also chose to dine in the bar area with the same menu as the brasserie. |We enjoyed a walk around the large harbour which is surrounded by several lively bars. The hotel is situated on the sea front and a sandy beach is available at low tide.|After a good night sleep the hotel offers breakfast, and it did not disappoint, a great selection to choose from, we went for the full Monty and everyone enjoyed there breakfast. The sausages and bacon were delicious.|The hotel is ideally situated if you are visiting the Granville Theatre which is just a short walkaway.|Overall this is a lovely hotel and not part of a big chain. The hotel has a charming ambiance. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had very enjoyable stay and would highly recommend the...

Horrible experience my treat as my own time and the idea of a lovely balcony not scaffolding with no warning when booked direct via phone to the hotel making booking on the balcony suite to have no heating on the coldest night of the year and my health was made aware of. A break on my own to gather my faults after a tedious 15 months with my marriage separation, having m.s and degenerative disc disease this was for my children aswell as me. I was given a small oil heater and an old very tiny blow heater for the large room. I booked in for late checkout but was awake by drilling directly above me by just after nine. I had woken stiff and sore from the cold and certainly no time gather thoughts I was offered a room the following night. This was found to be without heating too. The staff only had one heater needed for downstairs. The toilet roll had blood around edges but the bed had a huge blood stain, there was white powder residue of lines and white powder and rocks found in various places. This was a twin room where my daughter was going to stay. To add to this the was many of us without hot water! No reimbursement, £130 on the room plus money on food and drink to make me ill. Disgusting. My complaint was shown to two members of staff with no management available I persued this by phone and TRIPADVISOR where the response is now being taken up with civil action for defamation and slander. The response can be found on their...

Was excited for the Vegan Night but was completely disappointed! Considering it was a Vegan Night it didn't feel right that across the restaurant they were still serving non vegan food. We ordered a tea and was served cows milk. The starter was alright but the tempura batter wasn't done correctly. The main was nothing like a shepherds pie. There was no mention about a tomato sauce in the "shepherds pie". The sweet potato mash was just slop and the carrots were rock hard. They then swapped it for the burger which was not cooked in the middle but black on the outside. And the chips weren't cooked. We thought surely they can't mess up a brownie and apple crumble but somehow the brownie was burnt and no sugar was added to the crumble. The best part was the Coke. I don't know how this "Chef" has worked under professionals like Jamie Oliver and Marco Pierre White. A school dinner would have been nicer. So now I'm gonna have to cook dinner when I get home. The atmosphere wasn't that great. But the server was nice and apologetic even though it wasn't their fault.

I was not expecting a 3* star hotel to be this good. I booked the last double room last minute but did not expert the level of comfort. It was tricky only to walk to room 315 due a some stairs to get there from the 3rd floor , with my elderly mother but not at all a dela breaker . The room was very spacious and extremely comfy bed . I slept so well that did not want to leave! The amenities also great and plentiful and the breakfast enough variety of cereal and fruits and they even have a non dairy mil upon request (normally 3 start never offer this ) we have a wonderful stay . Location is great too! 1 minute to the beach and parking is right front of the hotel 💯👌 happy days

This lovely hotel, on the sea front, it was built in 1888 is beautifully kept, character rooms with modern bathrooms. We had disturbed sleep on our first night, the noise from the main air con system outside out window kept us awake, when I mentioned it to Becky on reception on our way to breakfast, she was very apologetic, saying she will get it checked out & said she will try to relocate us which she did by the end of breakfast, we moved to a fab room with a 4 poster bed, we slept great there after. Couldn't fault the care & attention from all the staff, we had a very pleasant stay, would definitely return.
