Lillyputt Mini Golf — Attraction in Thanet

I had a lovely visit today with my two year old, who has recently discovered mini golf. The owner (I assume) was really friendly and I appreciate the price of £8 for my daughter and me; very good value. Little ones get a plastic club and ball, so it makes it a lot easier for them. I haven’t been for years and years as I don’t live in Broadstairs anymore, but all the nostalgia of coming here often as a kid came flooding back (although, it’s not £2 anymore, understandably 😂).

We didn’t have food or drinks, but we had a lovely time. The course is super clean, well-maintained, the steps are well marked and the flower beds are lovely. You’d have to be having a really bad day to find something to critique them on. Hopefully we’ll be back by the end...

This is a really lovely and beautiful place with a nice café but unfortunately I was really disappointed with the golf courses… They were really uneven and some of them were even slightly angled down towards you which made the ball roll back to you sometimes. Also there were a whole bunch of holes and ponds which were almost impossible to not fall into! Though my biggest disappointed was that you had to focus more on not hitting to hard (lest you’d fall into a trap) than your aiming. My opinion is that if a golf court makes you focus more on the hardness of the shot than your aim it’s an awful golf court. I am a mini golf fanatic and have played on many courses across the world. This mini golf course is the cleanest and most well kept course I have had the pleasure of playing on. The holes are interesting, varied but not overly challenging. A perfect balance. It cost me only seven British pounds and I would gladly pay more. What a fine establishment.

My one concern was I was told I could not take my can of Coca Cola on the course (only water is allowed). I understand measures must be taken to uphold such high standards but when playing in the height of summer, it could only have been improved with a...
