Belvidere Place — Hotel in Thanet

We spent two nights in Broadstairs last weekend. We wanted to stay somewhere really special to celebrate my husband's birthday and also the end of his treatment for cancer, and we couldn't have made a better decision in choosing Belvidere Place.||Our host Peter was very welcoming and had lots of recommendations for dining out and walks. I absolutely love dark decor so felt right at home with the property's moody palette. Peter has decorated with a combination of modern convenience and quality vintage pieces. The bed, sofa and armchairs in our room were incredibly comfortable, the towels were of amazing quality, and there were lovely toiletries. The hospitality tray in our room was generous, with water jug, ground coffee and a small cafetiere, loose leaf tea and teapot, a full packet of shortbread and some pieces of fruit.||Nothing was too much trouble for Peter, who was charming and made a point of coming out to have a friendly word whenever he heard us departing or returning. By the end of our stay and many chats together we felt we'd connected with a kindred spirit. My husband has to limit his caffeine at present and Peter happily provided decaf ground coffee and tea in our room and at breakfast.||The breakfasts were, quite simply, the best we've had in many years - top quality ingredients and different dishes beautifully prepared by Peter each day, after consultation with us. Vintage crockery and cutlery, proper cloth napkins, and gentle background music added to the enjoyment. A selection of newspapers was available in the breakfast room, and we were offered more coffee and toast. ||We cannot recommend Belvidere Place highly enough - a truly memorable stay and we will...

We simply can not recommend this place highly enough. It is just fabulous, and Peter the owner is just fabulous too. What everyone else here has written is totally true … it is a VERY special place to stay. Very stylish, warm, original, comfortable and very very clean! ||||All the bedrooms are divine. We stayed in Room 1 and it was just stunning and huge. We loved the furniture, the fixtures and fittings, and the roll-top bath, as well the fab walk-in shower, beautiful sitting area complete with gorgeous Art Deco and Asian furniture, REN toiletries and super high-quality bedding, not to mention the large selection of courtesy drinks. ||||Peter is so warm, accommodating, kind, caring and just an all-round super guy. Nothing is too much. I am gluten and dairy free, yet he still went out of his way to make both of us a delicious, 2- course breakfast on every one of our 5 days there, on his beautiful crockery and cutlery. ||||Being such a great host, there’s no surprise that every guest and everyone working with Peter is just happy at Belvedere Place, giving the place a lovely vibe||||As the other reviews say, it’s hard to get across just how special this place is. What a wonderful find , Absolutely Stunning Boutique Hotel two steps from the lovely Broadstairs Beach . Accommodation is beyond stunning .This is true Boutique Style . Lovely Large Bedroom Magnificently decorated , in lovely colours . A wonderful nights sleep , in true comfort .Nowhere else , will You find a Host like Peter .He looks after Your every need , Peter serves up beautifully prepared breakfasts , and spend a quiet Evening at one of Broadstairs many restaurants and pubs , and then a Brandy in Peters beautifully furnished and decorated Lounge , all in matching deep blue colours throughout the hotel , the consistency of colour throughout its really nice .
