This folly had been built by Lord's Hollands in the late 18th century.
It is a miniature of Herry VIII forts such as in Camber and Deal.
Unfortunately, no much information available there, but worth visiting because of the area it is located in.
If you come to Botany Bay to do the coastal walk, it will be one of the many things to visit there.
It is located on the cliff, right to the golf course in the picturesque next to the sea place. So, if you like taking pictures, it will be great place to do that.
There are two restaurants near by for you to have lunch or dinner: one of which is The Botany Bay and another - Captain Digby.
Or you can just bring packed lunch with you and enjoy the surroundings.
Parking can be a problem in summer time though as this area very popular because of sandy beaches.

Situated by Kingsgate Bay, the tower overlooks the bay and sea. Carparking is in the Captain Digby pub (£10 a day for visitors) free to patrons of the bar/restaurant. The nearest public car park is at neighbouring Joss Bay which is cheaper for all day parking.
The tower remains are a short walk from the car park, along a public foot path but fenced off as they lay in a corner of a golf course. The footpath is a shared foot path for walkers and cyclists, providing a route to neighbouring Botany Bay.
There are much better ruins in Kent to visit with better access and are free such as Eynsford Castle and Sutton Valance, hence the low score for...
