A little further than Margaret main sands but worth it. Jet ski's available to hire free parking on the main road and 2 small cafes servings soft drinks, ice creams and breakfast baps. Viking trail is an excellent walk, flat service and great views. There are toilets in the cafe located on the beachfront but it's for customers only and by lunchtime queue are to be expected! There are free public toilets a short ish walk away behind Gladwells pet shop, there's also parking available outside the toilets. As Palm Bay is a little further away there's none of the usual seaside attractions so if you're in the mood for an arcade and penny slot machines you'd better stick to...
Read moreNice place to do ParkRun on the cliff, but with coastal elements and grass sections not a PB. Watch out! One end of beach has a concrete walkway under the cliffs, the signage is small stating this gets cut off at high tides. Very steep private road down to the beach (opposite the school), but accessible if adventurous wheelchair user, various points have these steep slopes. An expanse of grass upon the cliff is well used for exercise, picnics and dog walkers and nature section to one end (don't fly kites up here, there's overhead wires). There is a kiosk offering ice-creams and coffees, rather...

I don't recommend walking along the beach to get there from Margate unless you're physically prepared and have proper shoes because it was exhausting. Be wary that the pathway was secluded and looked a bit dodgy too. Take the upper road route and descend the steps instead. Didn't see any...
