Walpole Bay — Attraction in Thanet

A beautiful beach, quieter than the neighbouring Margate. An interesting beach, Sandy. When the tide is out you’ll see lots of seaweed and rocks which is great fun for the kids. And a strip of Sandy beach to relax on. There’s also a freshwater outdoor sea pool which is great fun too. There is a car park! It’s free too. But in the summer holidays get there early to get a good spot. - toilets are a little walk, but there is a cafe by the car park and if you buy something you can use those. - tip: take a picnic and drinks if you can because there’s not much around apart...

Went swimming here for the first time in the tidal pool. It was amazing..this is a great place for beginners to adapt to sea swimming..it's safe and if you stay in the middle you can stand up all along.. watching the tide come over the walls was a lovely experience...my new favourite...
