AVOID THIS SITE! I, along with 3 mates, attended the airsoft event at the terminal site in Manston on the 21st April with high hopes after seeing a few good photos online highlighting the site and the areas of play. However, I was beyond disappointed after just the first game. There were only 3 marshals for about 50 players, 1 of which was new and had no clue what he was doing. The head marshal didn't enforce any rules on site both in game and out. After just the first game, a whole table of players packed up and left because of the poor quality of gameplay and marshaling displayed. The safe zone • The safe zone consists of 10 small tables and a few benches. If you can't get a table you're forced to sit on the floor. • The site says they only allow bio bbs up to 0.25g but then had Rebel 0.25g bbs (Non bio) for sale behind the desk • Dry firing happened about 20 times before we went out to our first game and had about 5 dry firing incidents after each game back in the safe zone. Twice we saw players live firing in the safe zone into their cases and the marshals did nothing. • Players left mags in guns and marshals said and did nothing about it. We had to speak to players to say they had mags in guns which they just left in. • The barrel sock rule which states on site and on their website says you MUST have a barrel sock on your gun in the safe zone and my team along with 2 or 3 others were the only ones that used them. • The smoking area is right outside the back door of the safe zone and so smoke still comes in • The toilets on site smelt disgusting. Seats covered in urine and no toilet roll in any of the stalls. • The door to the gamezone was also left wide open during games so when players were shooting near the door, bbs were flying into the safe zone where people had no eye pro on. The games • First game was team death match and had quite a few incidents with hit calling (as per usual with a lot of sites) • When players were told they had limited lives they wouldn't adhere to the rules and just play with unlimited lives • Keyhole shooting through holes in plasterboard when we were told "If ypu can't fit your head through it, then don't shoot through it" • Spawncamping occurred during the second game and marshals never once pushed the other team back • Marshals stood in one place all game and didn't act when players blatantly breaking rules were pointed out • No communication between marshals and no use of radios so they just yell to each other across the site to start games • Poor attitude and laziness from everyone on site, clearly there just to take people's money and not put any effort in to improve the games for players. • Had an incident where I, along with 3 other people were hitting a players elbow repeatedly and the head marshal was stood right next to the cheating player and when we yelled to the marshal to do something he turned away and pulled out his phone. Price • The cost of a single entry ticket is £50 • No lunch or extras included • For the price you'd expect a site that has marshals that are experienced and have a good sense of the games they run to ensure fun days out for paying customers along with something for lunch in the middle of the games day. Overall thoughts After half a day I was beyond upset with the lack of service the site provides. Marshals are lazy, bone idle and inexperienced which is clear to see from just the first 5 minute games. The site is small but has a lot of potential but is ruined but the lack of cover, shut off sections of the map and lack of communication between the marshals. Players that attend their other outdoor site nearby are shown clear favoritism and give head starts, and all the experienced players with upgraded RIFs while the other team is left with rentals and new players. Stay away from this site if you value your money! Plenty of other sites out there that offer far more for less money! This site is just in it to take money and deliver a very tragically run day. Never coming back and only wish I'd known this site was this bad and saved my money 🖕

Always have a great day out when visit Quex park Birchington with the kids and attend the different events that the amazing staff put on all yr round e.g Easter, Halloween and Christmas but this is the 1st yr they have had an event in the summer holidays and honestly I think it's the best. Called Pirate Cove and Splash zone, for a 1 payment booked online you and your kids get a wrist band and are able to participate in a variety of different activities from 9.30am-5pm you can arrive and leave when you choose and there is free parking onsite. My advice would be get there nice and early and make a nice day out for the family. Activities include tractor ride where hidden chickens are in the trees and need blasting with a water gun which is provided and a lot of fun and helps cool off in the hot weather, there is treasure hunt in the maze of corn 🌽 feeding the animals around the farm, feed can be brought on way in. The adventure playground is enormous with bouncing pillows and sandpit and then over the summer 2 massive outside paddling pools have been put up and the kids can play while the adults sit in the sun chairs round the pool and have a cuppa or something cool 😎 then to end the day the staff dresses as Pirates played music and got all the kids (and some adults) dancing then sprays of foam for the best foam party ever 😀

Having never been to Quex Park before I took my children here for a pre booked Goat walking activity. It was really good! They were older than the other children taking part but they had good fun regardless. The goats look very healthy and clearly loved being out and about on the walk and happily had their leads put on. The goats were cantankerous and badly behaved, wanting to eat everything and certainly aren't at all lead trained which was all part of the fun! The walk lasted about 30 minutes and took us through tracks through the estate grounds so there was no traffic or other walkers to worry about. There were 8 goats and about 16 to 20 people on the walk which was led very well by a guide who knew the goats individually and engaged with us walkers very pleasantly. The adventure farm park is well suited to preschool and primary aged kids. There is an adventure trail, bear hunt activity and sheep, goats and pony on site as well as bouncing pillows and slides. They have a simple cafe with good quality food. We had chicken burgers which was good quality chicken fillet burger and a brioche bun. There are out door picnic benches so you can easily bring your own food and toilets on site. I'd come back again to visit the house and museum as we were too muddy to do that after our goat adventure.

AVOID THIS SITE!

I, along with 3 mates, attended the airsoft event at the terminal site in Manston on the 21st April with high hopes after seeing a few good photos online highlighting the site and the areas of play.

Hi,

I am writing to you to share my experience of my sons birthday party. Which was a very mixed experience. I have never booked Battle Royale and had no idea where to go on arrival, as when I arrived with my large party I went to the paint-balling office, I asked where I was suppose to go. Expecting to be greeted by a party organiser. The girl replied “she didn’t know!!!” however to go around the corner to see if there is someone there. I had 16 children and not to mention adults accompanying them. Luckily the young guy organising did his best to try and illuminate some of my issues and book us in, I needed to add on an extra 4 people and he did all he could to accommodate this, this was one of the positive from my experience. However, my son is 7 and need’s organisation this was too much for him, he was already overwhelmed and sitting with another adult. He then had an issue with his helmet not fitting properly, I understand that at times children can be difficult but I did explain after the guy with the beard who took him out onto the battlefield “instructions were difficult for my son to process” the guy got stress when telling my son to look up instead my son was looking up but not lifting his head, a confusion in communication. I believe when booking a party you should have someone ready to greet that party! Secondly the food came out sporadically, 3 children were left waiting to eat whilst others were nearly finished. The waiver could have been emailed to the person booking then provided to the party adults for their children and given in at the desk on day the day of the party, or emailed back before the party. You had 20 children waiting around before they even got their helmets or or knew what was going on. Now let’s get to the worst part of my whole experience. It was a rainy day and my party of 20 still wanted to go ahead and enjoy this, (to which they did!) I wonder on a rainy day if 20 people would have booked this session? Or whether 20 people would have even booked that day regardless of the weather. The reason I mention this I must of paid you £339, that’s not even mentioning what the adults paid on their own food and drinks! I will get to the point, not one of the children attending my sons party bought a FOOTBALL, who would bring a football to paintballing. More to the point any child would play with a ball if they found one. The guy in the pink and navy shirt needs to rethink about how he talks to other people’s children. It was embarrassing for me. He slammed the office door after shouting at the children. Disgusting and appalling attitude. Following this the ball landed on the metal roof above the bench area where the children ate, Yet another staff member with an appalling attitude to young people, a ginger bearded man from the main shop shouted at the children and ended his argument by telling the children “ you’ve lost it now and that’s enough” For a child friendly environment that quex is known for, I think you should try an adapt to using age appropriate language and become more child focused and friendly. They are children after all. I regret even paying as much as I did for the party to be treated the way we were. I had emailed the day of the party but no response so I thought I’d share my experience here for others...

Very poor site and run very badly. Will the manager is as good as a chocolate tea pot.

The site DO NOT lock off HPA tanks, nor do the Marshalls cable tied the RIFs once chrono. They give the player the cable tie who walk off with it and then are trusted to put it on the RIF what was chrono.

BB weights where not checked, players where chrono on heavier than 0.25s and were told by Marshall make sure you use 0.25s in game.

Safe zone and Chrono zone was separated by a door what was left open multiple times, there was no net up at all, I shut the door 3+ times and Marshall(s) and Will just walked through and left the door open.

I question Will on the HPA players (I'm one) I said my tank was not locked off and the Marshall on the chrono didn't know. I said I can and anyone else there with HPA can crank the power up and I was happy with that. Will said "well he must be able to trust the players" after everyone was chrono and just before the first game he called all HPA player over 20+ and asked them to cable tie there regs and if it had a different colour cable tie on that was OK.

£50 for a day, is extortion. Is was 2 large empty rooms with no cover, and a corridor and 3-4 rooms separating them. Marshaling was terrible and game play was terrible, was run very poorly.

My group left before 11am due to the shambles of the event. When speaking with Will he said "what do you expect it's the first day open" and "it's £50 as my insurance for the building is £6000 a year"

My group were told to email in on Monday and he will sort our refunds. This has not happened so now we will be going through PayPal dispute.

I would avoid this place as it does not warrant the price tag to me they are putting profit over the...
