I love Quex park, I really do, however so disappointed with our last visit. We didn't know our plans so bought tickets from the door. We went on a Monday during the school holidays and they now have their splash pools. I am not coming back during the school holiday but also will be dubious to go back until the sort some sort of management of the pools.
The pools are in top of fake grass, on top of earth. It gets muddy and there were kids jumping in the puddles, getting dirt then getting in the pool. The pools are completely unmanned, trying to save costs by not having. Lifeguards is going to cost them some loyal costumers... There were three grown up girls completely disobeying the rules, I know this isn't quex fault but it there was someone there making sure that kids aren't running in or jumping and pushing other kids...I think things will be better.
We must have chosen the wrong day because, by 1 there was hardly any cold drinks left nor ice; the toilets were absolutely filthy and when I asked to see their cleaning log...they didn't have any?(But these were checked regularly...) I asked if they could clean the disabled ones as my father needed to use the toilets and he wasn't able to due to the state of them... completely ignored...so we left!
I have emailed them to complain and I have not had a reply, it shows how...
Read moreI took a trip to Quex Farm with my grandson, daughter, and soon-to-be daughter-in-law, and it was a fantastic experience.
When we arrived, we settled at the cafe benches for a picnic while my grandson napped. It wasn’t long before he woke up, bringing excitement to the day.
We enjoyed feeding goats, horses, sheep, and various other animals. The farm layout is ideal for children, making it fun and safe. The animals are well cared for, which was heartwarming to see. Watching all the children interact was a highlight, and the joy on my grandson’s face and his delightful giggles created cherished memories. The open-plan setting makes it very welcoming and child-friendly.
One of the highlights was the giant air pillows, which were fun. Activity for everyone, from babies with their parents to teenagers and adults. The tractor park-and-ride added another layer of enjoyment. However, I know there’s much more at Quex Farm that we didn’t have time to explore during our visit.
Additionally, I popped into the farm shop and visited the butchers, where I purchased some brie and a beautiful pork loin joint. Both items were delicious and reasonably priced.
I'm looking forward to returning to Quex Park to experience all the aspects I missed during this visit. There’s undoubtedly plenty more...
Read moreJust spent a fantastic weekend on this complex (in a converted stables). Can't speak highly enough about it, the accommodation was absolutely perfect. 5 bedrooms (3 en suite) and a family bathroom. We were a family party of 9 so it was just right, a huge open plan kitchen diner (well stocked with pots pans cutlery glasses etc) with massive family table, and large lounge area. All the rooms were finished to a high standard and spotlessly clean. 2 additional bench tables outside were great as the weather was nice and sunny. Also a bbq and to round it all off our own hot tub. The staff were friendly and Ian the manager was brilliant, couldn't be more helpful. They should be very proud of the accommodation on offer. There's plenty to keep you entertained on site, crazy golf, huge kids play area, farm animals, garden centre, and a museum. There's a farmshop packed with local produce, a cafe/ restaurant. Even an onsite barbour (appollogies if i've missed anything) To be honest we never got to see everything, but hopefully we will get to return and see it all next time. Thanks for...
