In it's self a delightful bay with soft sand and unspoilt, terrific for dog walking and socializing. The big, big let down is the council's continued persistence in removing the bins, they obviously expect dog owners to take their poo bags home.....mmm then the complaints roll in about inconsiderate behaviour of dog owners who leave poo bags behind ...... you decide! Council Could do with organising a beach rubbish clearing party instead of leaving it to the public! OK so it was Easter and the council brought the bins out! But, for how long? Nothing changes. Now into September and no sign of seaweed being cleared!!

Nice beach. Local free parking, so ideal if you can park up and walk to Margate easily too. We parked at Westgate-on-Sea (which is also free to park on the road next to the beach) and walked to Margate and back stopping at Westbrook Bay for a coffee break. Who needs to travel abroad when the weather is good and the water was easily warm enough to swim in. Lovely fine sand, with occasional bits of seaweed, but if you want a cheap way to enjoy our sandy beaches then start here.

All I did was dig a hole with my friends on a school trip and was quite fun... HOWEVER, some idiot decided to fill my bag up with sand 🤬 phone was covered, and so was my water bottle. Actually, it was quite funny at the end of the day. If only we had more time and more efficient tools, that hole would've turned into a crater (don't have many photos because I would've been wanted dead or alive if the teachers caught me on my phone)

Love this place. Been coming here for over forty years. A world away from margate even though it's so close. Lovely sandy beach. Sea great for a swim when the tides in. Some good spots for a bit of rock pooling either end when the tides out. Pack a lunch relax for a few hours. Can be a bit busy at weekends. During the week can almost feel like your own private beach. One shop for drinks, snacks, icecreams and beach stuff.

Absolutely love this beach - small in comparison to Margate Sands but perfect being that there are not any services - take away joints - casinos to spoil the natural beauty of the place. The beach huts are home to wonderful locals who take pride in the beach. The sand is clear of rubbish and the sea is usually clear and good for swimming. If the tides out - wear rock pooling shoes - can be quite sharp in places.

A beautiful bay on the north Kent coast. A long sandy beach which is much less crowded than nearby Margate. There is plenty of roadside parking, there are also toilet facilities nearby. With a lifeguard team in place throughout the summer, this is a place for families to swim in safety and relax on the beach during warm summer days.
