Coronation Gardens — Attraction in Wirral

Visited while in West Kirby and its right on the front opposite Marine Lake. Well kept from the outside but a bit of a disappointment when you actually enter. The gardens, even though freshly mown, look lifeless and drab. There is a big area of garden but if is wasn't for the middle area it would just be a field. Seating area all around to enjoy but it did feel a tad overlooked by the 'park facing' buildings. There is a cafe in there but didn't enter as a queue had formed but may visit next time. This park, in its day was probably full of beauty, colour and vibrance.....and hopefully will get there again. Nice place to sit and take time away from...

Lovely sheltered walled are great for kids and dogs, but they need to watch for exits as they lead straight out onto the roads . Fabulous cafe called Tanskeys with panoramic views across Dee estuary to North Wales, with dog friendly outside...

Nice little park in West Kirby, close to the Marine Lake, beach and town. There's plenty of covered and open seating. It's got large grassed areas for picnics or children to play and there's a popular cafe on the edge...
