Take shelter on a windy day in huge sandhills ⛱️ that run alongside the Royal Liverpool 🏌️ course & there's also the famous red rocks at the Hoylake end with it's old lighthouse (now a residential property) & its own sandy beach. Read moreIt made for a nice day out. It was high tide the initial part of the visit. I would love to come back and walk across to Hilbre Island. There is a lifeguard station here. It was clean and tidy. I saw staff walking and checking at low tide. There is a Morrisons just by the car park where you can get lunch, nice benches to sit on the promenade. It is family friendly, I saw kids on scooters and ice cream for the kids (and adults), which can be easily got here. There is a car park just by it, disabled parking available too.
