We dined here on a Sunday evening. After all the positive reviews online we had good expectations. On arrival the manager showed us to our table and immediately asked for our drink order. Not having been to the restaurant since it was known as Milan. It may have been nice to show us popular choices on the drinks menu and introduce us to the venue. I asked for a prosecco and unfortunetly was told that they only served cava here. I asked for more time to choose and noticed that there were no white wines on the menu to my taste. (I would usually choose a pinot grigio). I decided on the rose cava which arrived in a short glass with a raspberry, on arrival the cava was sweet and unpleasant so I asked for a sangria instead whilst my husband had a beer. The manager came to take our food order and as my husband is type 1 diabetic I asked if there was an optional extra of fries, unfortunetly the only carb option on the menu was potatas bravas with garlic mayo. The manager took our orders quickly but didn't repeat them back to us. This meant that on its arrival we were bought 2 unordered dishes which the restaurant kindly left one additional dish when the actual orders arrived. The food itself was okay but the dishes we had were very similar tasting and quite overpowering with garlic. The desert menu is seperate and we both thought we could share some churro doughnuts. Unfortunately they were not churro doughnuts, just mini doughnuts sprinkled in cinnamon. We sent these back and they were kindly taken off the bill for us. The waitress we had was a very nice lady and drinks were brought to us swiftly. All issues raised were dealt with that's why I've given three stars. We wouldn't go back now, but perhaps the Sunday menu is less complex than throughout the week. I hope others have a...
Read moreWe ate there 27th December for my partners birthday and was very disappointed. The food was not very good but most of all the managers attitude was very poor. He never smiled once. Intact we felt a bit of an inconvenience. They came and asked us of we would like some more drinks which we ordered then he came over and slapped the bill on the table and said there's the bill the next party has arrived. No pleasantries whatsoever!! The girls were very nice but I certainly wouldn't go again. This was our second visit as last time we went one of the staff accidently tipped balsamic vinegar and olive oil down one of our guests backs. The waitress was mortified and ran out but the manager stood by the bar and ignored what had happened. We had to ask for paper towels to mop it up at which point he said if it's any consolation she's gone home crying. Nobody at our table kicked off despite the brand new white jeans being ruined but his attitude was awful. Having it given it a second go our impression hasn't changed which is a shame for...
Read moreDelicious food, friendly and efficient service, but oh, how my heart sank when we were shown through to our table and I realised that this was yet another of those restaurants with completely unforgiving acoustics: hard floors, hard tables, hard walls, hard surfaces, all of which magnify the clatter of plates, the clanking of cutlery, the clinking of glass, and those shrieks of laughter that have nowhere to go so end up bouncing around mercilessly. To add to it and to make matters worse there was the so-called ‘background’ music. Aaaaargh! Don’t restaurants realise that beyond a certain age many people (with wallets stuffed full of grey pounds) have trouble dealing with background noise? I found it an ordeal simply to hear what my fellow diners were saying, and the evening was rather ruined for me by this, so I’m afraid I won’t be returning...
