I did enjoy the idea of placing older 19th century crafted pieces near contemporary examples. The special exhibits were fascinating as well and the space provided for these is top-notch. When I visited there was a beautiful display of black and gold Japan ware some made by local people of the past. a trip down memory lane with the old bins and bedsteads, a reminder of the days the bin man would roll the steal bins down the street in the early hours of the morning.
