Went here recently for the Foo Fighters GB. The band were great and an enjoyable night generally. The bar staff were friendly. The issue we had is that we were informed after we'd scanned our tickets and got our hands stamped that we could not leave the venue then come back in (new policy apparently). Not only is this a ridiculous policy, and can't for the life of me understand what it achieves, but also makes the hand stamps essentially redundant. We wanted to get our hands stamped, then pop out to get some food as we hadn't eaten, and they were not serving food at the venue. They refused us point blank. We had to spend the whole night there hungry, or lose our admission. Who knows what would have happened if someone had forgotten their wallet in the car and had to go out - would we have been refused re-entry; who knows. Just a ridiculous policy. Goes without saying I won't be back. I'll just book to see any of these bands elsewhere, where they don't treat their customers...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhat a fantastic place. Thereās a massive car park at the rear. The music venue is big and sound quality is really good. The BBQ is amazing and so nice to have a change from venues always doing burgers. The outside area with bar was lovely as it was a warm night so nice to get outside and chat. The staff are all absolutely amazing, so friendly each and every one is a credit to the venue. The hotel, well, I didnāt know what to expect so I didnāt set the bar high, however, we were blown away. The room was beautiful, the beds are soooo comfy I had the best nights sleep in ages. All the information you need is right there for you. Itās all very secure with main gate, main door and room locks. Tea and coffee making facilities and a really lovely shower. Oh and the shower is so clean, no horrible black mould bits. Towels were fluffy too āŗļø I canāt say a bad word about the place, thereās a lot of thought gone into every detail. We are definitely going back. Thank you for an awesome...
Read moreThis place may not be for everyone, but which place is? For us, it was as expected, if not more. Not designer, it is next to an entertainment venue which is an old skool proper entertainment place just like they used to be. Ideally I would move it nearer to us in Watford. Shower was perfect, room clean, and fresh. We did not hear loads of noise from the other people visiting the venue, we stepped out of the door and in to see the tribute act in seconds. We then did the same on leaving the concert area, back to our room in moments! We actually came here to see Rod Stewart the following day at the Molineux which is so nearby too but decided to make a weekend of it and found the Robin Hotel and Venue by chance. ||||Nothing much we would change, unless they are going to update the décor a little. Not really necessary though, it is fine as it is. I have to admit that some reviews are a bit off, but it made me love it more once we got there. Not posh, but...
