27 August 2021: We reserved a table here for our anniversary and TUTU was lovely, very friendly, helpful and welcoming. It's been a long time since we had a Thai meal as our local Thai restaurant is all the way on the Welsh and England borders so coming here was special as we do love our Thai food and cuisine. The Thai Gallery restaurant has been run by the family for the last 2 decades and it shows, beautifully decorated inside and out and full of Thai art pieces, paintings and wall fabrics designs. We were sat at a cosy corner table and the service was good considering they were starting to get very busy and full. Our drinks were a large glass of the "850 Douro Tinto" Portuguese Red wine and a Singha bottle of beer then shortly followed by a pint of the Asahi Japanese craft lager...no real ale but I enjoyed the Asahi. For starters we had the "Khoong Tempura" prawns (#4) and the "See Klong Moo Yang spare ribs (#8). Both utterly delicious. For mains it was the "Phed Yang Ped Pak" duck (#31) and the "Geang Ped" rump of beef Thai red curry (#40)..We ordered a portion of "Ba Mi Plao" (#58) noodles to go with the duck and of course, a portion of the "Kao Neaow" (#62) Thai sticky rice to go with my Thai red curry...such gorgeous flavours and so deliciously tasty! The food was so good and beautifully presented, work of gastronomic art at it's best...well done chef/s. 10/10. We do recommend the Thai Gallery restaurant and even though it's not cheap, the food was very good and the staff were great too...especially TUTU. Thanks to all the staff for a lovely anniversary meal and evening. (I guess they forgot a celebratory drink or a rose at the table on our anniversary dinner...)

Situated in a beautiful half-timbered house, this Thai restaurant is really something special, even inside it is old-fashioned and cosy. The menu is clearly laid out and has everything that is important. The food is delicious, but not always authentic. I imagine that the school was not in Thailand itself. For example, my favourite som tam is not pounded in a mortar but chopped, the dried prawns and other little things are missing, resulting in an ordinary papaya salad and not a spicy som tam. The rice should also be easier to make. All in all ok, but a little expensive for what it is.

They serve the best Pad Thai I’ve ever had — honestly, it’s right up there with what you’d find in Thailand. Every bite is packed with flavour, perfectly balanced, and cooked to perfection. The staff are warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly, which makes the whole experience even better. The decor is beautiful too — lots of natural wood, with a cosy yet stylish feel that makes you want to linger. I also love their logo — it’s unique and really memorable, which adds to the charm of the place. Highly recommended!

The meal was alright, but the service was absolutely horrid. Before sitting, we explained to the male waiter that we'd need three separate checks for expense report purposes. He told us this would not be a problem and promptly seated us. After ordering, we repeated this request to make sure it was understood and was once again assured this would be done. Well, when the bill came, it wasn't. One of the other party members once again asked for three separate checks to which we were told, "we can't do that because it's one table." Of course, this rationalization made absolutely no sense, so we asked the female Thai hostess, and she gave us the same ridiculous answer. Understandably, one of the party members started to become frustrated since this was not an issue in any of the other restaurants we'd eaten at in Worcester. The male waiter told us to "figure our own check out" after initially telling us that providing three separate checks wouldn't be an issue. So, we each went down the check and figured out our individual bills since the male waiter and female hostess were too incompetent to ring three separate checks. So one of the other party members forgot to add a 3-pound kombucha to their portion of the bill. Well, the Thai hostess flew into a rage and chased us to the front door; we were not running, screeching at us about how "they have cameras. And she's going to take us to court" if we do not pay the three extra pounds that weren't, at that moment, accounted for. So, again understandably, the member of our party who was already frustrated with the ridiculous incompetence of the staff exchanged words with this woman, as the additional 3 pounds was paid. Perhaps this would have gone down much more smoothly if this horrid little woman didn't continue to vilify our group to all the other patrons who were dining. Screeching, "We can't figure out their bill for them!" Which was not what we asked them to do. I was absolutely mortified with embarrassment. Our bill was close to 70 pounds! We certainly weren't trying to skip out on an additional three! This woman's behavior and treatment of my party were absolutely disgusting and appallingly unprofessional. The initial request for three separate checks was not difficult or unreasonable. I waitressed in high school in the 1990s, and I'd do it all the time without difficulty. The woman, in particular, was rude, incompetent, and highly unprofessional. There are so many charming, competent establishments in Worcester where you won't be ignored, vilified, and screeched at. Please choose one of them over this place. This incident happened around 8:00 on January 10th. If this is an employee of the restaurant, I encourage the owners to rethink her employment with them. It's not...

I want to start on a positive, sadly it is the only positive from my expereince here, but he food was incredible. The vegan options were great too. However, we now get onto the negatives. Sadly the meal was ruined by the appauling service. We were a large group that had booked for 1845 for my mates birthday. We turned up between 1843 and 1847 and after a few minutes a woman came over to us and we explained we had a table booked for 1845. She said ok and dissapeared. 15 minutes went by before we were finally sat down. The table was placed in a corner and was a very tight squeeze for some of the group. None of us are overweight and the restaurant felt like there were too many tabkes and seats squeezed in for the size of the place. After 50 minutes (no exaggeration) no one had come and taken our order not even for drinks. Other people had come in much later than us and were eating food before we were even served. One of the group had gone up to the bar 4 or 5 times to ask for some service and everytime were told "someone is coming". If it takes 50 minutes for staff to walk to a table to take an order then something is very wrong. The male waiter seemed more interested in taking the order of the group of women who came in 15 minutes after us then taking our order. When the food came the waiter seemed disinterested and we had a difficult time knowing what plate was what. They also forgot one plate for one of our group, to which that member had to go up and ask where there meal was. No one came over to ask how our food was. At the end we asked for the bill and after another 15 minutes waiting for the bill to come we got fed up and went to the bar to pay our bill. The lady at the bar made a comment that they bring the bill to the table as we were now making the bar area look untidy. We got the bill and split it between us and worked out how much the cost would be per person. It turns out after we left after discussing with the group that half the group overpaid by £5!! That is a minimum overpayment of £20. A deposit was paid of £60 for this reservation and we were made to feel unwelcome. We were told the deposit is refundable once the bill is paid but the man behind the bar took the deposit money off the bill and it took a while to get this issue resolved as it unfair that 1 person had to pay more than everyone else, when we were told deposits are refundable. It was my first and now only visit to The Thai Gallery. If you want good Asian food go to Singapores down the road with amazing...
