This store has gone so far downhill, I don't know what Stop and Shop corporate could do to fix it, or of they even care. While this is the worst place I've seen, they all seem to stop caring about having quality, unspoiled food on the shelves and focus solely on profits. It's the same reason they have so many self-serve checkouts and only 1-2 staffed checkouts - hit those profit margins and set the next ones higher! They are not handling food safely, leave spoiled meat out for shoppers to lose their appetite over, have rotted produce, and all this is while people are stocking the area. But the staff members DO NOT remove the rotted food. They put it on top of the fresh stuff - including the lettuces, leaf spices, onions, etc. This isn't once in a while - which would unacceptable to me, in and of itself - this is consistently every time I have visited this store this year. The cheese picture was taken about a month before the expiration date on the package. The meat was taken at a different time. I've had it with S&S and will be going to Market Basket instead. If they won't clean up their act and start caring about customers health and well being by getting rid of their spoiled food, consumers should teach them a lesson by not patronizing their business until they either do care and clean up or go out of business. It's time businesses stop treating customers like a line item.

I like this stop and shop always see a couple faces that have been there for ages n I love that, people that show up to work and stay consistent rock in my eyes. Tells me your loyal I can rock with that. So glad they updated their self-scans, thank you y’all actually listened to my previous review, although didn’t know you could review same place twice? Thought only edit a review? Either way, I’m grateful to have at least one stop and shop in Brockton. Only see these bomb bundles of joy that melt in your mouth at stop n shop, n I get around.

During the March Nor’Easter that left Abington crippled for days (and continues without power in some locations today). There were no gas stations in service due to the outage. My sister has a leg injury and would warm up in her car during the power outage. Finally on Sunday there was some relief that the power was slowly but surely being restored. Since she cannot drive I searched hi and low for gas stations to replenish her empty gas tank. After going to the gas station in Abington center, waiting a solid 15 minutes (they didn’t have self serve today). I drive into a pump and they say “cash only”. Nice- you should make that more acknowledgeable instead of wasting your time and potential customers time.

I get to the stop and shop gas in Abington which is accepting cards. The line is practically to Wendy’s and is blocking flowing traffic. So I go to the next pump which seems shorter. Since my gas cap is on the drivers side, I had to reverse into the pump. My only intention was to make sure traffic wasn’t being blocked, especially if it was a first responder because Massachusetts is in a “STATE OF EMERGENCY”. As soon as I get out of the car, they disable my pump because I had reversed into the pump lane. Instead of blocking traffic. (Like everybody else was). I go to the booth and ask them what’s wrong, some young coward man says- “you’re facing the wrong way I can’t give you gas”. Knowing they are the only place with gas for miles, this mad me furious. Customers were on the street- blocking traffic.

Not only were we without power for days, had major impact from the storm, and people are desperate for fuel- he decided to be on a power trip.

If I broke down, down the street, I would have to call the police. and they would’ve had to bring me back there anyways.

Pathetic and disgusting. As a future law enforcement officer, stop and shop employees have no authority regulating traffic or how THEIR customers should get gas.

Regarding the circumstances- I saw desperate, and elderly people waiting for gas. Not to mention that plaza had been running on generators the whole storm, god forbid something happened and all of these people were blocking the STREET!- I saw an opportunity to make this process go by faster.

Appearently, I should’ve joined the blockage on the road way from a plaza that’s been running on emergency generators for 3 days. And I was refused fuel, because I was being resourceful and logical. The only place with fuel ( whom accepts cards) in the whole town for 3 days. During a state of an emergency.

Considering the circumstances from this storm, the traffic they had blocking the road way, the disregard of common sense for “customer safety”. I will never step foot in or near a stop...

I wish I could give my experience a negative star... I am first going to say as a first time customer of Pea Pod I am far from impressed. While I was told to go to the customer service desk to pick up my order the cashier told me to go around to the side of the building, call the store and press zero and someone will notify the staff your there. Okay not a problem. Well we pull around to the side of the building to storage crates locked and the whole time I’m praying my food isn’t in there. Not to my surprise it was... it was in dirty green containers, inside those containers were styrofoam boxes half ripped cover in dirt!!! My food bagged inside with ice packs. Not OKAY! I had to hold my self back from saying msomething to the team member handling our food, each container he took out he dropped on the ground.. !! I had to double check to make sure the eggs were not cracked and milk wasn’t leaking..Giving it the benefit of the doubt I went home anyways and summed it up as a long day. As I am unpacking my groceries I find half my items were not in there and the other half were not the correct items. Now I am a 23 year old women I don’t make hundreds of dollars to pay for food so I have to work hard for what I have.. I got cheaped out.. the items I paid for were not the items I received in fact I am so upset I just want my money back and go somewhere else. I am currently on my way back to the store to show the managers how disappointed I am.! Never again in my life will I use pea pod nor will I recommend it to any of my customers at Mercedes, I feel stupid I bragged to them in the first place of how excited I was to use this.. seeing how I have a busy life style. I am so disappointed Stop and Shop. This was H O...
