I've seen much worse, but this could be so much better with just a little work.
The good:
Mini ramp is solid, smooth, not slippery, no big cracks, coping is well placed. My only complaint is it needs another four feet of flat bottom, then it would be perfect.
There are plenty of other obstacles that are skateable...but...
The bad:
Lots of big cracks. Lots of rough concrete, sandpaper rough, the kind that slows you down and that you REALLY don't want to fall on. Some areas are lumpy in ways that throw you off and could be dangerous. Most edges have no metal, so the concrete has been worn away and is virtually unskateable. Crack at bottom of four stair. The bowl is for more advanced skateboarders, meaning maybe 1% of the kids who visit will be able to do anything in it.
Some of these are easy and cheap to fix issues (adding metal to ledges, adding more flat to mini ramp). Some are more expensive (making rough areas smooth, making bowl more beginner friendly).
Is it worth visiting? Ehh, if you're going to be in the area anyway them sure. But I wouldn't go an hour out of my way if I had something decent in my...
Read moreIt’s the closest decent skatepark for me so I’ve been here quite a bit. I scooter so keep that in mind. Lots of banks, lots of ledges with no angle iron so they’re not very smooth. Mini ramp is decent other than the flat but at the bottom being kinda small and being unrideable if it is at all wet. The bowl is fun albeit a little cramped and has some wavey spots. There’s an okay hubba that has proper angle iron but you can only really hit it going one way as one side is too short. The new area has nice very smooth concrete, a very slidey box with a ledge, a low round bar, and some metal ramps that are very loud and the transition from ramp to concrete aren’t very smooth. It also has a couple funky obstacles that you can’t do much on.
All in all, it’s alright. It has its flaws for sure, but it can still be a fun park. If you want something better, head into Boston and go to Lynch...
Read moreThis is the worst skatepark I have ever been to. There is little to no flat bottom for the mini ramp. There is no where to get speed for any of the obstacles next to the mini ramp. They used the wrong concrete for the older section of the park and it is falling apart. There is no copping on any of the ledges. The bowl is the worst part. There is not 1 smooth spot in it. The walls have waves in them and the transition is extremely inconsistent al yhe way around. No 90 degree corners for speed. This place was a giant waist of tax money and donations. Sorry for the terrible review but if there is 1 park on the earth that needs to be torn to peices...
