New location with major issues with their level of customer service.
This review is not intended for the employees that I have interacted with as I think that the company/store failed them. They need more training. Very simple, you invest in your people and I am positive if you have trained your people on basic principles of customer service, I wouldn’t have to waste more time writing this review.
I went to buy milk one afternoon and I found only 1 box in stock of the specific milk that I usually buy. It was not on sale but I had a rain check for an amount of “3” and it took me ~20 minutes (yes at least 20 minutes and several discussions with 3 different employees at different levels), to convince them to honor the rain check and give me a replacement rain check for the remaining amount of “2”. (My argument: If it is the store that is lacking stock, why would I waste my rain check on less amount or pay extra for an item that I should pay less for) Regardless, If you would like to build a good relationships and guarantee return customers, what is $1.70 for the new store that is struggling to attract customers. It is unfortunate that a company like stop and shop makes that huge investment in this new store and can’t equip their employees/managers with sufficient training that can revive this store and set an example for a good customer service. I am likely not going back to this store.
This should be a call for the upper management to implement more training.
This is not a call to discipline anyone and I hope that the upper management don’t overreact...
Read moreI’m really disappointed with Stop & Shop. It’s 2025, and the company has failed to keep its promise to go 100% cage-free. Supporting the cruel practice of caging egg-laying hens goes against the growing demand for ethical and sustainable food. It’s unacceptable that such a large corporation continues to profit off of animal cruelty when better options are available. I hope Stop & Shop will honor its commitment and take meaningful action to support...
Read moreEgg laying hens and other farm animals deserve better. Stop & Shop pledged to transition to 100% cage-free eggs by 2025. It's 2025 now, and the company has yet to fulfill that promise. Continuing to sell eggs from an industry so cruel that it has been banned in eleven states and condemned by scientists and animal welfare experts worldwide. Please use 100% cage-free eggs if using plant-based substitutes is...
