Apricot Lane Boutique — Attraction in Alaska

I used to love this store however today I wanted to buy some slacks that had a sales price of $65.00 along with some other things. I was told at the register that these were no longer on sale and I would have to buy them at the regular price of $159.00. If the label says $65.00 they should have honored that price. That would have been good business practice for them but instead they took off the sales sticker in front of me and would not honor the displayed price. Very rude especially since I have spent hundreds of dollars there in the past. I walked out without buying anything and will not be back. This is not a smart move if you want people to continue to shop there. I will in future give a negative review about this store to anyone who asks. After reading what the owner said below I had to respond. This information from your manager is false. At no time was this item offered at the price on the tag of $65.00, this individual stated that spanks the company would not allow there items to be sold at a reduced price. As for cutting them off, it simply did not happen. After I was told that they would not honor the sales price I told the lady behind the counter that I no longer wanted to buy the items I had selected and the walked out. Last minute prom dress shopping. This place was too aggressive and manipulative. Purposefully steer customers to dresses way too small so as to to up charge for alterations. When they were noticeably to small she assertively said it was wrong how much people obsessed with weight and size. Didn’t catch the name of the saleswoman but she announced she was size 0 DD and that it was hard for to find dresses as well. When it was apparent her pushy sales approach wasn’t going to result in a sale at her establishment she passively aggressively suggested we try the cheapest stores in the mall. We ended up spending a fair amount but it was with a great place in the valley with a pleasant salesperson with the added benefit of not charging for...

Oh my goodness! What not to say! I absolutely love this store! Since Nordstrom closed it is next to impossible to find a clothing store with such a wide selection of contemporary styles. There has never been a time where I’ve walked into that shop and NOT walked out with a selection of new, stylish and comfortable clothes. They keep their inventory fresh with each season, are affordable and have a helpful and friendly staff. In a time where purchasing your wardrobe is a gamble with online shopping, it’s nice to know there’s still a few places in our northern town to actually feel a garment, try it, and walk out with it, and this one of those.
