The food service was quick and friendly, the popcorn tasted fresh and the icees were excellent. When selecting seats online, it states that seating will still be spaced apart. Someone and several friends sat next to us. We were first annoyed and decided to be tolerant neighbors. And then the closest person ANSWERED THEIR CELL PHONE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PREVIEWS. We went to the front desk staff and were told that if WE WANTED TO MOVE to other seats then we would need a manager's approval and the manager was busy. During this time two of their friends also joined them. So we resumed our seats becaus hey, eff me, right? You've got my money already and I don't have the fight in me today for this. The movie was starting soon. Said movie was excellent, with good sound and spacious, comfortable seats. However, our neighbors for whatever reasons frequently had to get up from their seats. Some people may have to go more than others and I'm fine with that. A group of people sharing this trait is unlikely. It didn't totally spoil the experience, but listening to them drop food, step on the food, talk about stepping on the food, crinkle the containers of the food they dropped and are now stepping on because they defy all odds by sharing the unlikely trait... It just really detracted from the overal enjoyment, and to have the staff so ineffectively respond was defeating in a way that made no sense to me as an adult. That's not the kind of non-ownership I'm used to with movie theaters, so it was disheartening because I have so many other options that are just as comfortable and enjoyable, and they now are all more appealing...
Read moreSo, went to opening day of the movie theaters here in Ancorage. Purchased 2 tickets to Tenet , totally disappointed. What the issue was my wife went to the concession stand to buy popcorn and a drink. She was told by the assistant manager Mr. Johnson, Sorry the concession is closed. He went on to explain that they closed the concession 20 minutes after the last movie starts. Well our movie hadn't even started, and obviously not 20 min after the last movie. The popcorn machine was full, but Mr Manager would not sell anything, even after my wife questioned, and pointed out the discrepancy in his policy. Even if they had mistakenly closed their cash drawer early, as a manager he should have taken care of the customer who obviously had a pretty serious point. You don't go to a Movie Theater, expecting to be denied service from the consession stand, especially after paying over $20 for tickets. Obviously he was little concerned about customer satisfaction or the bottom line for Regal or even the consequences of his actions, VERY DISAPOINTED, WILL...
Read moreHorrible experience at this place. Went to go watch a movie on a weekday. The people behind us (teenagers) would not stop talking throughout the movie. They proceeded to seat/lay on the floor in the back corner and was watching videos from their phone and laughing. I went out and ask the employee to get a manager inside the theater because at this point the people at the back was getting louder and had been told to be quiet many times by other people. The employee said that they will get a manager. I came back to watch the movie and I did not see anyone talk to the people in the back. It was such an horrible experience and we did not enjoy the movie at all. At the end of the movie while we were leaving the employee who I talked to apologized and said she did let her manager know about it and that they were sitting in the theater room the whole time and they were aware. This made me furious, why didn’t the manager go over and talk to them and give them a warning. This will be the last...
