Albany Hill Park — Attraction in Albany

I deeply special place for my son and I. Hit the top of the hill where the cross is, one one side there are benches faces a great view of Berkeley/El Cerrito, on the other side a little harder to find, another bench and wood swing facing the Golden Gate Bridge. People pay a ton to live here, but you can drive to the top and park on circle for free. On the hill slope south and then down facing the bay from the cross, there is a clearing slope area that is a wonderful place to look at the stars at night. You should stop here, even if just...

A great place to take dogs, kids and art lovers. Once a dump, it's now trails trhough ab overgrown dump with smatters of junk sculptures, graffiti and guerrila artworks. Be wary... lots of hidden sharp rebars and other junk. Besides that one aspect... a fabulous site. (Oh... lock your car and leave nothing of onterest in sight). What a hidden Gem, hard AF to find but SO worth it.. short 10min walk reveals semi obscured views 360° around you as you are lifted up out of Albany.. multiple bridges are in sight, the hills of Berkeley/Oakland. .
