The Nerd Store — Attraction in Albany

A store, but for those with nerdy interests. They do tabletop wargaming, they just card tournaments, the community is inviting, you just need to pull up a chair or talk to someone behind the counter to find something I think you’ll really enjoy. Not so much a high energy environment (most days) but it’s nice to come on in and just hang out with some fellow nerds. I personally just like coming in and building either cool models or plastic nightmares....

This store is great!!!! My boys love Pokemon and have been collecting cards for a long time. We as a family have been learning how to play the actual card game. The boys are reading, developing strategies and doing math. It’s easy to learn and everyone at the store has been amazingly helpful as we learn. They even have events on Saturdays at 2 where you can play other people (a kids group and an adult group). This has been a great bonding experience...
