This is Albany's best Waffle House. The store is usually clean. The service is much better than other WH locations in town. The food almost always meets expectations.
It's very rare that I have anything to complain about at this store.
This morning is a slight exception. I seated myself at the bar and sat there for nearly 10 minutes before my server came over. She took my drink order. I asked for a menu, that also took quite a while to get. The silverware was not clean. My blueberry waffle was thoroughly burnt. I requested a another waffle. The fresh one I received was much better!
This morning the manager seemed a little scattered. Servers were harried and almost frantic. During a rush, especially on Sunday mornings, it is the manager's responsibility to lead the team to excellence. Halfway through my visit he pulled through and things started running more smoothly.
Still, even with the confusion this morning, this is Albany's best WH.

Read moreVery disappointed. I was the only customer here. They brought me my food in shifts. First they slung my sausage off my plate on to the counter. Then brought me sunny side up eggs. I ordered over easy. They took my plate back to recook my eggs. It left the counter with grits, eggs and toast. It came back as only eggs. I waited a few minutes to ask about the remaining items from my plate. Then I watched as he took the spoon and chopped up the grits because they were so lumpy and dry. I told them not to bring me any because of the poor quality. I would have been embarrassed to serve them. Then I asked if they were going to charge me full price. He said he would take off the grits. This cost me $11.75. I normally always tip…. Not this time! I’m not sure who is responsible for ensuring this establishment is properly operating but I would bet that if they witnessed this, they would be...
Read moreThis waffle house used to be my go to waffle house but the last couple of visits have been kind of icky. First of all I called so many times and didn't get an answer that's cool I know they get super busy sometimes so I went there. When I pull up there are only two customers the waitress was on her phone. So when I walk up I speak and ask if the ringer was off or if the phone was off the hook because I had been calling she looked at the phone and said yea then just stared at me like I supposed to be taking her order anyway to make a long story short the night cook is awesome but the waitress Precious needs a serious attitude adjustment esp if you work in customer service. When people walk in you supposed to greet them. It's really...
