Waverly Lake — Attraction in Albany

I love this park because of the benches, paths, walk bridges, ducks and geese. Overall, the park is well maintained. The only problem is that there are several people that I have seen here, probably down on their luck, sleeping on the picnic tables, and even coming up to me while I am in my car and asking for money. Great lake to fish at, and other things to do too. Parking was limited, but I was there to fish, so I went during the week knowing not a lot of people would be there. You can fish almost around the whole lake, and near a structure like a bridge is a good spot. Fish were jumping, and I nearly caught what appeared to be a brood trout in the short time I was there. Eagerly lake has a paved walking/bike path that goes all the way around the lake. It serves the community well for walkers, an afternoon stroll, and picnics. It is open for fishing.
