Burger King — Restaurant in Albany

Never wrote a review about a fast food experience, but our recent trip at the drive thru at the Albany store next to Costco warrants a few words....simply outstanding. We ordered the Whopper.."2 for $5.00" and a medium order of fries. Most often you unwrap or open a sandwich that contains several different ingredients and they are thrown together with most of what should be inside now out or almost coming out and you have to carefully re-assemble before eating. Not here. The two huge Whoppers were perfect: everything neatly packed inside. Lettuce, tomatoes, mayonnaise, etc., and the large burger patty was cooked just right, not overdone. Seriously these were the very best drive thru burgers we've ever had and as good as any we've ordered in a non fast food place. The French fries nearly outdid the burger. These fries were so hot we actually had to blow on them at first to eat them. They were of good length, slightly thicker than a major competitor, nicely salted and truly delicious. The major competitor often serves up fries in substandard length and pieces that are cool and limp to the touch and a buck-99 for a tiny bag? C'mon. I knew we were going to have a great mid-day meal when they passed the sack out the window to me. This thing had some real weight to it and I actually thought we might have been given the wrong order, but nope, just two great Whoppers (no cheese even) and medium fries. A real bargain. I got food here the other day for my family and was quite surprised by the poor, bordering rude customer service from Crystal. I ordered through the drive-thru and used a promotional code off of the burger kind app. The woman who took my order from the speaker asked for the code and took the rest of my order. I drove to the next window where is was greeted with a curt "I need to see the coupon code on your phone" from whom I would later find out was Crystal. I told her that I had already exited out and didn't have it. She told me that I needed to keep it on my phone so that they could see it was a valid code. I told her that this was the first time someone had asked me to show it to them and that I'd make sure I kept it for next time she replied with "she (the lady who took my order) told you to show it at the window, I head her tell you on the headset" she did not tell me, neither my wife nor I heard her say anything close to that. She just asked us to pull forward. She then told us that we needed to pull around because we were waiting on some of our food. When she arrived with our food, there was no apology for the wait, just "this food is very hot, so if your going to give it to the kids you should wait." Very curt, very direct. In the world of fast food, customer service is everything. I gave this 3 stars because the food was actually very fresh and quite good. I however will be driving across town to the other burger king because I didn't appreciate the interaction...

There's a manager there who could care less whether I come back or not. Maybe it was a new employee but she overcharged me buy two extra Whoppers she added to my receipt after she gave me my food without my card but my receipt. I didn't know if she was copying down my debit card or not but she shouldn't have walked away from the window with my card. and then charged me double more than what I was supposed to pay. Was very frustrated! When I got through the drive-thru and parked my car went back in while my food's getting cold and explained. She told me she could give me two free burgers and I said no I want my money back. Then she said it's going to take 3 days. So she charged me again for my food. She would not give me my original receipt that she charged first. Till I insisted. Her supervisor was the problem. She kept going to the supervisor to help her and she wouldn't help her she kept helping everyone else but me finally she went and made copies of the receipts and gave me the copies not the originals. I think her name is Angelica for the supervisor very unprofessional and could care less whether I ever came back again not...
