Eastgate Cinemas — Attraction in Albemarle

So, a group of my friends decided to go to Eastgate Cinemas on 04/14/19. We wanted to see Pet Sematary which was showing at 09:55 p.m., and we arrived at the entrance roughly around 10:10 pm, and the door was locked...... Weird. However, a worker came to the entrance, and stuck his head out the door and asked us if we purchased a ticket? I spoke up and said, "No, but we would like to purchase a ticket. Then he said, "well, we are closed." I glanced down at my watch and said, " Well, it just started at 9:55 p.m. " He sigh, and looked at his phone, and said, "ok." We came in, and purchased our tickets. Great movie, but prior to entering the theater that was weird. Customer service sucked that night. However, go check out Pet Sematary....but maybe at another Theater that actually...

Always a great place! Until they changed the way you get popcorn & your drinks. Biggest waste & mistake they've made.

Popcorn & butter system DOES NOT WORK! Bag dies not fit under to get popcorn or to fill the bag up. The butter system is a waste. Can't get butter in the bag. You have to leave popcorn half way empty to get butter in the bag. If you fill up the bag with popcorn good luck on getting any butter in top without dumping out popcorn!

Total waste of time & money.

Need to make adjustments on the machine & process.

After being frustrated with that mess i wanted to just leave. I won't be back anytime soon. I'll drive to concord...

Their is a ticket booth at the front that seemed somewhat deceptive as you are directed to the concession stand to purchase tickets. People look for a movie theater experience and the booth is part of the experience. The concession counter was dirty the glass for the candy was dirty and the popcorn isn't fresh. It is popped and stored in garbage bags which I thought was cheap and gross. Their was trash and popcorn on the floor surrounding the concession stand and the carpets were dirty. The speakers in the theater were not the best. Was not near a great movie theater. More people would spend their money here if these things were...
