i’ve been going to this GAMESTOP for several years. Not sure why the previous manager left but along with her all of the staff changed. Two instances led to The one star review if I could give none I would. This used to be a five star location, but between the new staff and the new manager, there are some huge problems. One several times have not been called for our Pre-orders. Because of the nature of my job, I work a lot at night, during the day I’m asleep. so I missed a call about my pre-orders the following day would’ve went up and got them, but we haven’t received any for all the games we free ordered and we’ve pre-ordered three games that were all separate drops. No call. When I tried to address it with one of the staff members, that we never received calls for any of these pre-orders, the guy just shrugged and said his manager is the one that normally makes the calls. Which if that’s the case that means the manager even on days off Would have to call a list that she might not have readily available But since we didn’t receive a call all three times I’m assuming that it’s not the manager that’s making the calls no one’s making calls or only calling certain people. The second thing happened with the same staff member my partner said hey well we never received a call. Did they hold our pre-order and the man said yes which meant the pre-order item should’ve been. When I said something about the pre-order item he said those were gone. I said OK but his tone was that you should’ve came and picked it up when it came out, but we didn’t know when it came out because it was a pre-order that we ordered there was an actual date. Rummaging through drawers to find a copy for us does not find it right away says that someone else moved it and then one of the pre-bonuses and gives that to us and says to us you’re lucky. He continued to look for our game and then found it in a totally different drawer. He was completely unprofessional and had an attitude the entire time. We have a GAMESTOP that’s actually closer to us, but because I’m never in that area I’m mostly in the Alexandria area. I always preferred to go to them. GAMESTOP has done a lot of reorganization of leadership and I’m just gonna be honest this GAMESTOP sucks now. It did not always suck But Staff does not care there is one staff member that is totally professional completely nice but I could never remember their name, but I see a tag on them so I’m not sure. That person should be The manager or the assistant manager. Even though we came in the first time that one of our pre-orders we didn’t get a call for The staff member member was kind courteous and took time to educate us on other games that might be coming out. This staff member did everything that you would expect someone to do at GAMESTOP. I can’t speak to if the new manager is good or not I’ve never seen them but every time something bad happens staff is quick to throw them under the bus. People who still shop at GAMESTOP are going in for three main reasons one they want a physical copy of their game to atmosphere and to to see what new releases are coming and to be educated about them. And last, but not least, for the Customer Service. That’s why I go. I might not see people for weeks months so when I go to GAMESTOP, it’s probably the most interaction I’ve had in days if not weeks so when someone is an asshole to you, it makes you go back. I’ll buy my games Digitally through whatever platform they’re on now. And for the few physical copies that I want, I’m probably just gonna go to a local retailer whenever...
Read moreI recently visited GameStop to purchase a Backbone One (USB-C) controller for Xbox Remote Play, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the experience. Finn and John were absolutely fantastic; they were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and an awesome conversationalist.
Not only did I receive help to find the perfect controller for my iPhone 15 Pro Max and Xbox One X Remote Play setup, but also took the time to explain how everything worked, making sure I had the best gaming experience possible. They went above and beyond with their expert advice and enthusiasm, making the entire shopping trip both informative and enjoyable.
If you’re looking for amazing customer service with a personal touch, Finn and John are the people to see! GameStop needs more employees like them; knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely helpful. 10/10 would shop...
Read moreA few years ago, this place was great. The employees felt like friends with warm smiles every time I walked in. Now it’s backslid. The employees (particularly one named Roberto) no longer value customer service.
I went to go preorder the Labo VR Kit. I got the Labo VR preordered, but Roberto was rude and dishonest. He tried to sell me both the $80 version AND $40 version claiming he didn’t know they weren’t different, which I highly doubt. I genuinely hope that he didn’t know the difference and was being completely honest about...
