Discovering the Wild Azalea Trailhead at the end of the breathtaking 24-mile trek through Kisatchie National Forest was a remarkable experience. Google Maps made finding this hidden gem near Woodworth a breeze, guiding me to the perfect starting point or a serene conclusion to the adventure.

The trailhead offers not just a destination but an immersion into the natural beauty of the Wild Azalea Trail. The convenience of multiple starting and stopping points along the 24-mile trail makes it accessible for hikers of all levels. However, reaching the endpoint near Woodworth feels like a triumphant accomplishment.

What sets this trailhead apart is its strategic location near the town, allowing for last-minute preparations. The nearby store proves to be a valuable resource for any essentials or forgotten items, ensuring a hassle-free and enjoyable hike.

Beautiful flat trail following a creek for the first few miles. Lots of magnolia trees, baby ferns, pinecone, moss, and even some wildflowers. Enjoy these pictures of the trail in the evening on June 1st, 2023 around 7-8pm featuring my dog Bubba :)
